Saturday, April 30th at Soriana (on Kabah) from 4 - 7 there is a cake decorating event for kids. It cost 40 pesos and the kids can decorate their own cake anyway they want. You need to go there to register before the event. They also will have a "toy story" show that day. Any other events this weekend in Cancun celebrating "Children's Day" that anyone knows about?
I think Coco Bongo usually does something for Children's Day, and I saw a billboard for it a few days ago. Not sure on the details, but it sounds pretty fun.
We took our daughter last year, to be honest it was a nightmare and we left half way through. Really packed with ignorant people pushing and shoving, seemed like 2 adults for every kid - I think some of the adults see it as a cheap alternative to something they couldnt normally afford. When you're only 4 foot tall you dont get to see a lot except other peoples behinds and shoulderbags in your face. The other thing that I found quite sickening was the way the girls were dressed, lots of 8-12 yr olds in full make up wearing slutty stripper type outfits.
