you guys seem to have a blast there if it was that much fun for me/t there - i would probably do as our great friends les/lynfa tmac/kat do .................and go back there every single year as well as tmac said when he was at the house in march "if it aint broke dont fix it" rob
your right.. it aint broke..but as you said.. we want to feel like we are on vacation, a place that can offer a little more togther time but can party if we choose..even though its possible to do that at TTR cancun but you are off the beaten path in cancun trying to do it.. so its possible that we may do one week there and one week in cancun.. I think with what you have described its well worth a try.. thanks for that ..

yes we were book there, changed it the week before we left to cancun...we got scared off especially from what was not happening on the cancuncare board we were worried that it was way to slow for us.. lol.. but thanks to your guys .. I see it could be right in the middle of what we are looking for.. thank you guys for the trip report.. I was waiting for it .. lol
they onnly have the one pool and it seems to vary from day to day some days it reminds me of the sexcy pool in cancun and other days it reminds me of the quiet pool and yet other days its like the quiet pool and sexy pool get together and there is a little bit of both but not matter what was going on at the sexy/quiet pool we all pretty much agreed (nothing was ever said though - just kind of known i think) to meet and take over the hot tub at 3 every day as soon as it opened and socialize all together as a group from like 3 to 7 every day. it was incredible up there in the afternoons with the ocean below us and huge waves crashing and the mountains in the bakground we had a big party every day up there except the day we went on the booze cruise and none of the pictures from those afternoon get together can be posted here except maybe the ones where the girls shaved poppy's head lol rob
Great Trip Report and Comments guys, I was struggling with that decision last year when you guys proposed this trip... as much as I love Cancun, ive always wanted to try Cabo, but like Kim said its tough to leave a group that has become like family over the years.. This year was crazy in Cancun with over 100 cancuncare people and trying to meet and remember everyone was near impossible, thats the one thing that makes cabo sound so good , the intimate atmosphere where its hard to loose someone, plus the fire pit sounds pretty damn cool too. I hope to one day make it there, hell I just hope to meet every one someday soon, wether its Cancun, Cabo or a Walmart in Tulsa... Again great trip report
.........or new orleans yeah jim bob the only thing that bothered us about going to Temptation los cabos was our may group of friends and trust me i did everything i could to get them to give los cabos a try but they all wanted to go back to cancun and certainly understood that and for the most part nobody gave us a hard time about going to los cabos other than a little ribbing here and there - all in good fun though we had made up our minds on the plane last year on the way back from cancun that we were going to give it a shot so we tried our best to get others from may to come but it just did not work out that was cool with us - no harm no foul we booked anyway ive always been a hard headed proud fuck lol and as fate would have it we found a gold mine of great new friends (many not even cancuncare members) i can certainly see where you get a wide variety of opinions about the two resorts though as they are truly different and i will always put forth my best effort to shy away from too many comparrisons as they are only a like in the sense that they are both adult only resorts - its like comparing an outback steak to a keg steak both are steaks both are good but different people prefer different steaks i think i can honestly say though - if you enjoy cancun - but just want a change of pace without quite as much craziness (but still some) then come on over to the old folks home in los cabos one wanting small change would certainly enjoy los cabos on the other hand if you go to los cabos expecting it to be the non stop party vibe in cancun - its not the place for you - in my opinion rob
When we first started planning our trip, i found temptations cabo first, and we almost booked there... then we found cancun and had a hard time deciding which to try. Settling on cancun wasn't a bad choice for our first experience at a trip like that, and we had a nice time (minus the sick, yuck) ... but as much as i love the people we met, i had already decided that if i can figure out a way to go on another trip next year (or eventually) , i want to try los cabos. The hot tub is a HUGE draw for us, plus i want a chance to see more parts of the world when i travel. thanks for the trip reports, guys! i had been reading plenty around the net from people who had been to both. nice to read everyone's perspectives. question for you all: we were in cancun for 5 nights/6days, and felt it was a tad too short, but 2 weeks anywhere would be too long for me (like kim said in her TR she felt between 7-10 at cancun is about right) how many days/nights do you feel are 'just enough' for cabo? thanks! ~karyn
great question karyn and i feel like i need for someone else to help give some perspective on this too i think mike and marnel were there for almost two weeks so hopefully mike will chime in and give his perspective for two weeks t and i were there for 8 nights / 9 days and felt that was perfect - we both said to each other on the day we were to leave that it was the first time we actually were ready to come home we usually feel like we did not have enough time or we had too much time not sure with restless soul if i would be okay with more that 9 but that is just me we all did say the one thing that we wanted to do differently next year was............. to all book the same days so we could all be there on exactly the same days - rob
