I was mentioning to Rob that Barb and I would be doing our 25th in 4 years next door at the Barcello for a week and then going to TTR for week two, would love to have everyone from CCC join us. they have a fire Pit?.. lol Brewster played his gutair to the wee hours of the moning on the beach several nights after Paty'os shut down.. and several people commented "all we need is a fire pit"... lol hmmmm.... I think I may be leaning a little..haha!!
its a fun place partydollgirl but not for everyone........... im trying to find the correct way to put the vibe at los cabos into words and i promise you - it is not that easy in cancun its (like we all say) "a big adult frat party" - its very easy to describe in words the vibe we all know and love there in los cabos its a more sophisticated intimate adult party (all ages there but a touch more mature) and not as "balls to the wall" yet with still a nice element of that adult frat party............its just not the predominant feature in los cabos as it is cancun in los cabos i always felt like i was on vacation (no matter how wild and crazy we got) in cancun i always felt like i was running around my entire trip like a chicken with his head cut off - lol - which is fun - but i am almost 50 now - and cant party like a 25 year old any longer - and dont care too either for that matter can others whom have been to los cabos chime in and assist me with desribing the vibe - am i in the ballpark with it???? the very best rob
Rob is pretty accurate in his summation. In Cabo you can do as much or as little as you want, you can go off and spend some quality time with your mate strolling the beach or into town for a quiet dinner without everyone wondering where you went and what happened to you, or you can hang with the entire group and have a blast with no one condeming you for getting out of hand. The restaurants in the area are fantastic, the resatuarants on the resort are more than adequate, the scenery is out of this world. As you do your descent into the airport, you are surrounded by this stunning natural beauty for what sems like five minutes, it feels like you are entering a wide canyon as the distant mountains rise above you and at the airport in every direction all you see is mountains in the distance. The you drive to the resort and just as you come to the Mega Mall, you see the Sea of Cortez before you, it is stunning. At the resort it feels like they have built it into it's natural surroundings, rather than ripping open the landscape and dropping a box full of rooms smack dab into the middle of it. With in the resort you see the palm trees with the coconuts still in the leaves. You see the cactuses around the walkways of the resort, and the facade design of the buildings blends in perfectly with the natural surroundings of the landscape. You walk out to the beach and you can go safely in either direction, to the right and down a bit is the massage huts, further down is Zippers which Rob described, I wish we had of gone there. To the left you can head into town. You can go into the Ocean if you like, but be extremely cautious. The vibe is perfect in the resort, it is intimate, about 1/4 or 1/5th the size of TTR Cancun. A lot of the staff were the same from the year before so the turn over is not that high. Overall it is the people that make the resort, the staff are also very good at anticipating and responding to your needs. I think Rob has the perfect description when he describes it as: a more sophisticated intimate adult party (all ages there but a touch more mature) and not as "balls to the wall" yet with still a nice element of that adult frat party. I get what you are saying .. and I can assure you.. that is more of what I think we are looking for.. can party if you want to but if you dont you havent missed to much, I want to feel like i am on vacations .. thats the thing about cancun.. I get pissed the next day after hearing about the huge party we missed cause we took it easy one night.. haha!! then we try to stay up for it the next night and just completley burn yourself out.. Brewster and I love to party but we also need a vacation .. haha!!
bob t and i have commented over and over the last few days about that exact sentiment and you have hit on the single most important reason why we love it the only time we felt pressured during our entire stay was that night we all went into the asian restaurant - poppy wsa drunk and bugging the shit out of me and t to join everyone as it was their last night at the resort - that was the only time and it only lasted for a few minutes as we politely bowed out and went over the buffet with brian/theresa (i think you/barb harold and bobbie did the same that night) other than that - we felt zero pressue and could have cared less if we had missed a big party, the pool, or anything else --------------it seems like in los cabos its not really that big of a deal if you miss something - where in cancun it seems almost catastrophic if you miss something how it all went down - rick/faye spent tons of time at the beach - yet seemed to be with us the whole time we were there paul/heather/lisa spent tons of time on the beds by the pool - yet they too always seemed to be around mike/marnel played volleyball all day long - but again we always seemed to be enjoying their company matt/christine spent a lot of time hanging with their friends but i always seemed to be in conversations with them about stuff poppy was druink the whole time and he was our chinos bob/barb - in bed at 9 up by 1 back in bed at 3 up at 5 for the sunrise, sleeping by 8 up at 11 in the pool then a nap then hot tub by 3 brian/theresa were always around except the night they left early for well ...........ummm figured harold and bobby would spend all their time with bob and barb but pretty much did their own thing and yet were always close to us jill - well jillis jill and we all know jill is going to do what jill wants to do whether that is picking up a new guy each night or going to bed at 7 not sure why it is that way but you are so correct about this very important but undefinable phenomenon there - its almost bizarre that you dont mind missing some things and simply enjoy your vacation with your spouse ...........yet party with everybody at the same time the best rob
well cant say as we felt pressured.. just pissed that we missed something . haha!! or didnt meet somone that was on the board.. or didnt get a change to spend any time with people that we really liked and would have enjoyed talking to. If I could take the April addicts and dump them in cabo next April it would be the perfect place.. lol
okay i think i have a description now its like a boutique hotel wannabee for people over 40 who still want to party some.........without having to wake up with hangover every morning the best rob ps - not one single hangover the entire trip - t did though the day after everyone at the resort did body shots off her lmao
incredible point yet again - another reason we picked los cabos a few years back at the Temptation cancun - we met a lovely couple there graig and ginny (canuncare members) and it took us two years to get 15 minutes with them (and that was on our last night at the resort in 2010) and that was at 2 in the morning over a hamburger outside by paty o's we got to spend tons of time with all the people we wanted to meet in los cabos and have developed friendships which i am sure will last a lifetime rob
OK.. now you have just made it sound like its an old folks resort..haha!! just kidding Rob!!.. I totally get what you are trying to say.. it sounds good to me .. although I would have a very hard time leaving the April Addicts behind.. but lots of time to think and ponder..
