There has been many people who have recently stayed at Temptation Cancun that have gotten very ill while there. Do you know what is going on? Do you know what the virus or issue is? Ana: we have people that drink to much and eat to much and they get sick but is not a bacteria or virus Ana: but i will send your conversation to our guest service manager to give your the information about this issue You: So you have not had any complaints? I have talked with people who recently stayed (within 2 weeks) that were very ill without drinking too much. Someone there has to have heard this issue from people that have been staying there this April. Ana: just one complain at trip advisor You: I see. Please forward this to management. If anyone is ever on the Cancun Vacation Guide | Cancun Tours and Hotels website and they go to the forums page, there is a thread entitled "sick @ temptation" that has multiple people who have become very ill in April at that resort. I am wondering which medication the resort is recommending for the recent illness that many many guest have been experiencing. You: I would like to ask my doctor, here at home, for a medication as precaution in case my husband and I do get sick. Ana: our guest service manager will get in touch with you he will explain that we do not have any bacteria o virus affecting the resort. I have read that many guest have been VIOLENTLY sick and it is not from over indulging in alcohol. You: Has the pool water been tested? We were there from 11-18th, I got sick on the 18th. But not like Dan or the others, just stomach issues, which are still around today.
We had chalked it up to the fresh fruit...and at first we thought it was the fruit we ate when we stopped for lunch on the Boobs Cruise, but maybe that isnt the case. We both had runs for one day total on Tuesday April 5, day after Boobs Cruise. $17 bottle of Kaopectate worked for us! We were good to go after that one day...
We just got home about 4 hours ago and for what it is worth people from another resort further down the peninsula said that several people in there group were sick. Some had not recovered yet. Hope we did not get infected by them on the plane. Thankfully my wife and I did not get sick. Or at least not yet as we are still fine. We ate all but three meals in the buffet in the7 days we were there. Also drank our share of alcohol also and went on Steve's great Boobs Cruise.
I'm confident it wasnt anything to do with the Boobs Cruise. There were people who missed the cruise because they were already sick, people who were on the cruise that had been sick days previous, others who went on the cruise and didnt get sick at all, and people who got sick but didnt attend the cruise. I think it's just one of those "viruses that go round" in places where people get together - workplaces, schools, hospitals etc just a freak occurrence that can happen anywhere. I wouldnt worry too much if you have a trip planned soon, these things dont usually last long.

From everything I read on the board, what people symtoms are and how long they last this sure sounds like the Norovirus, which is very common this time of the year. When a person becomes infected with norovirus, the virus begins to multiply within the small intestine. After approximately 1 to 2 days, norovirus symptoms can appear. The principal symptom is acute gastroenteritis that develops between 24 and 48 hours after exposure, and lasts for 24–60 hours.[3] The disease is usually self-limiting, and characterized by nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain; and in some cases, loss of taste. General lethargy, weakness, muscle aches, headache, and low-grade fever may occur.
Good day everyone. I was sick for 3 days when I was on vacation and then it continued for 3more days. I would suggest everyone to email Temptations so they are aware of the situation. They did email me back information about food poisioning and they apologized and gave us a 4day/3night certificate to come back for free. I really didnt need that but I just wanted them to be aware of the issue.
FYi dreams cancun resort same issues. I am sure like Steve said it's some sort of bug. Same happens back home when kids get scik in school it just runs its course. Just sucks when it happens on vacation
