Sick I would like to encourage everyone here to 1 email and 2 call the resort to express your concerns. Not that I think it will eliminate the problem but at least if they hear from enough of us then hopefully they will pay more attention to things like chlorine levels, food temps and sick employees. I don't know if there are health inspectors there like in the US but if it were here they would wan't to know about it. If anyone knows how inspections work there or a phone number for them, then please post it. Chris

I am really sorry for all of you who got sick, but glad that you all managed to squeeze in some fun. I'm curious to see if this is happening in other resorts, or just TTR, so I just posted on Trip Advisor. I guess if it's widespread, it might help rule out the food or pool.
All I got was a cold............but I always lose my voice there. Usually after three days. Diarrhea and mexico kinda go together. It is the alcohol and lack of sleep that does it to me. I am still suffering from the cold but getting better everyday.
Missed you guys but still fell like i know you. This is not normal Mexican Diarrhea, I,m going on day six and I.m back at home. Seen dozens of posts and new ones almost every hour. For every person sick there are others that are to embarrassed to talk about such matters or just wrote it off as Mexican Dia.. I was at a Rio Dom resort about 8 years ago, almost same thing happened, they ended closing the resort to stop chain reaction affect. ( new people coming in are infected by people leaving). Know i no why all the glasses reaked of chemicals the last days I was there. same thing happened in Rio the started dis infecting every thing. It does happen at any resort , but not as much as it used to.
my buddy went down in feb and said that the burgers they have this year are different then they used to be.Maybe thats it.
Hopefully they get a handle on what's going on before we head down there in May.. I'm packing my normal stomach meds seeing I always have stomach issues but I'd really rather not be in the bathroom for days lol. Last time I was in Cancun (not at TTR) I only spent 1 day sick and I was sick the whole day but that was definitely my fault for over drinking the night before. I'd like to enjoy my whole trip this time.. And I'm still excited to go even though there is something funky going on.. lol keep us posted as the weeks go by if this is still going on I might need to stock up on some other things to bring with me as a precaution. -Lisa
we had a very large group there also in feb & most also got sick. it is a little creapy. it sucked for the ones that got. 1 being my wife. :cry:
