ok, being from utah and knowing that it is a mormon state, i know predudice. when i was in the service years ago people actually asked if mormons had horns!!! i had never heard about that before. kinda funny, but sad too. i am not mormon myself, but to each his own. growing up i went to a few frat parties at the u and yes all young drunk male, and lots of times females act really stupid. so if when im at the resort, or anywhere, and thieres a bunch of idiots, bugging you or other people, let the manegers know, and say somthing. then if the offending group dont stop the bad behavior then the resort should have them leave. that would send the message to any and all would be trouble makers in the future.

I think Steve really nailed it with his last post. We've met great people from all countries, as well as great people that are singles & couples. The problem is inconsiderate jerks, married or single, from wherever. And a larger group of jerks will be a larger problem. And unfortunately, a combination of a lot of alcohol, and youthful male bravado, can make the run of the mill jerk even more obnoxious. Based on the factors Steve discussed, these large groups of inconsiderate jerks tend to come from certain places. So what's the solution?
First, if a person or group is obnoxious enough to cause problems that impact the staff (like throwing Stacy in the pool with mic & camera), the resort already has some incentive to deal with the problem. Having talked to Chinos in the past, I've realized that they are more aware of certain issues than may seem obvious. Some issues have no real simple solution. But they do try to make changes that benefit the majority of their repeat guests; ie the no cameras/must be dressed appropriately for lingerie night. But TTR is a business, and $$$ is certainly one of their top priorities. The only way I see to try to change things, and it isn't a quick fix, is make your concerns known to management. Of course, the comment cards are an excellent way to do this. Also let the day or night manager know of any issues. But in the medium to long term, unless (until) upper management realizes that a booking of 44 singles will cause hundreds of people to not return, there's not a lot of incentive to turn away the $$$ that a big group brings in.
In the meantime, of course it's important for us Cancuncare people to stick together and form our own group of 44 people and look out for our own.

Steve that was well stated. Mason, if it had not been for you Chris and Pat things could have been much worse. Thank you for all the women who were there. I wasn't bothered but I saw them berating women over and over again. It was terrible.

I agree, we are a a large group and must carry much weight, if we sepak as one we are much more effictive than individuals. Though personally I have never had an issue, and find most people to be fun spirited and quick to say sorry if they have crossed the line.

Steve, I am glad you started this subject. When I brought up this subject a lot of the people that now agree with you did not agree with me at all when I mentioned it (WestTexas, I agree with your post 100 percent). It is also interesting how everyone is now talking about out of control single groups, fights, mexican jails, there women not feeling safe. When I brought up these exact same scenarios I was labled as thin skinned, out of touch, had it in for single guys, blah, blah, blah. I also mentioned if the trend of large single guys continues it would drive away couples. Some of the couples on this board mentioned they would not return to that enviroment (large groups of single men). I think that is a bad sign because I think most people on this board are more loyal then others not this board so you know others feel the same way. If maybe 10 percent of the people that attend the resort are on this board, that leaves a large percentage of people out there having possible negative feelings toward the resort because of these large groups. I think it would be hard to regulate large groups. What the agents booking the trip will do is break down the large groups into smaller groups (instead of 40 guys in one group, they will make it 4 groups of 10, or something along those lines). I mentioned before that TTR has to start getting stricter with what is proper behavior and was is not. Just because you are drinking and might have a buzz on does not give you a liscense to do and say what ever you damn well please. You can still have fun, flirt, body shots, whatever and at the same time be respectful. Its exactly like I said before. No one cares about the one single and or married guy acting like a jerk, we can handle that. Its the large packs acting like jerks where things get a bit uncomfortable. It will be interesting to see how things unfold going forward. Will the resort listen to what customers are saying, or will the dollars the large groups bring in be louder?

Well all I can say is that solo, single guys do fit right in. Was so easly making tons of friends, whether they are couples, singles, wives, husbands, everybody is extremely friendly as long as you act like a normal human being. Had a super time and will return for sure.:aktion033:

Is there a way for Steve to warn us (heads up from resort management) when there is going to be a large group there a particular week). We were at Hedo 3 the first week in June 2005. A popular Miami DJ brought 200 in for his 21st Birthday Party! Took over the Quad/resort...vacation took a huge turn for the worse from that point on. Won't go into details...horrible for the rest of us paying customers.

I don't think Steve controls who comes to the resort! He could probably look into it, but you might be able to find out from Temptations website.:icon_mrgreen:
