All the hotel has to do is kick a couple of these obnoxious people out, be it Candadian, USA, England, whatever....
It would send a message , cause the first thing the tourist would do is call their travel agent.
Email the hotel and express your concerns . Apon check in express your concerns, tell your bartender, the message will sink in..

We did put a comment to that effect on the feedback form as we left. I had hoped it was just an one off that we ran into last year and again this but from what Steve has posted it seems to be increasing in frequency.
I will e-mail the hotel management and let them know our concerns though, thanks for the advice Donald.

And you are right, they could be from any country it's just a bit embarrassing when they are from your own!

    Firstly I am English.
As said previously two major tour operators use TTR from the UK.
They are the ones that accept the bookings.
Until pressure is put on them via TTR or through the reps then things won't change.
If you are in TTR and singles from the UK upset you then complain to the management and also the tour rep! Get their name and vent your feelings at the rep. They have corporate responsibility also.
Steve you could press the feelings on here towards the management of TTR to get the likes of TUI and My Travel , the tour operators to sell it in the brouchure as couples only.
You could not limit the amount of singles because there are ways around it.

On another note. I look forward to the reports and reviews as to what spring break is like this year !

I think it is only the UK tour companies who block book rooms at TTR so that is why the influx of singles are from UK. It wouldn't matter where the influx was from, and as my wife said it wouldn't be any better if it were and influx of females if it radically upset the balance of things.

It is not for Steve to do anything as oddly enough TTR regard him with suspicion from what I have gleaned. If you are not happy with things then fill out your feedback forms as you leave but it would be nice to let the hotel management know that people are not happy with the sudden influx of single sex groups in large numbers and they need to be aware of it. As for telling TUI travel and Thomas Cook to only accept couples, it may be the way forward if they can't see sense although it would be a shame as we met some lovely singles this year who arrived as singles or in twos.

OK don't get us wrong, we did have a great 2 weeks at TTR but we did not like the groups of UK lads that arrived thinking they could hit on any woman/girl there! We will make our opinions felt to the tour company but I do belive that My Travel just may be Thomas Cook!

Yup, am afraid that My Travel *is* part of Thomas Cook / Airtours... :(

Read through the thread. Seems like singles are accepted, all male herds are not :)

I think Donaldhit the nail right on the head.

The resort needs to enforce their own rules in the extreme cases. It doesn't matter if you're single, married, with a group or alone.

If you're going to be an ass they should kick you out on it.

Last year there was a guy on a day pass annoying all the women at the pool. It was the end of his day by the time we saw him and the next day Chino said that he would have gladly thrown him out if someone had told him or his staff.

We can't just accept things either. If someone is acting like an idiot we have to complain about it. Otherwise the hotel thinks everything is going great.

    So actually two things:

Temptations has to enforce the rules; and
We have to make complaints heard.
