The only way to really know if it's worth it is to think about what you really want to do on your trip. Xel Ha is all aboutsnorkeling, so if that's your priority, it would be a better choice for you. (I'm afraid of fish :icon_redface:, so I was only there once, years ago!) Xcaret is more diverse, and it's geared toward looking at animals and exhibits and seeing shows. There are horse shows, Mayan ceremony re-enactments, the big night show, and probably a lot more I haven't found. There is also some snorkeling and the cenotes to swim in if you can take cold water. If you're interested in a day off the resort with some interesting things you wouldn't see at home, it's definitely worth the money. Also, you can swim with dolphins there, but that's extra. You didn't ask about Xplor, but just to compare, it's more about activities and adventure, with zipline tours that can take 2-3 hours, ATV rides, and cenotes you can swim or raft in. It's definitely worth it if you're looking for something more active. Have fun on your trip!
