All I can say is I had a Blast 3rd time and wont be the last ...only complaint is waiting for your room ...it really sucks getting there early and waiting for a room after a long day at air ports and in the plane ...they tell ya to come back around 1 and still nothing ready ...come back at 3 grrr ...thats all for a rant from me book your trip so you arrive after 3 pm ....my Liver is still waiting Funky Drunkin Monkeys ....Meet Some Great People thanks for helping make the trip even nicer going solo ....Fishmaster
Thanks for the TR - it's great that you had a blast and will be back again. Suggestion - rather than booking your trip to arrive after 3pm next time - simply take a carry-on with personal items and pool wear. When you get to TTR, check-in and change into the pool wear at a public rest room and then head to the pool/beach/bar. They will hold your bags at the front desk and you can enjoy your afternoon. Then go back to get your bags and head to your room at your convenience. We have done this several times and because we try to get in as early as possible (room or no room available) it's like gaining an extra day of vacation.
Exactly... It is always best if you can get right into your room, but that is not always an option. After 25 trips to Mexico, I think I have finally learned to pack the pool gear in a carry on.... I am a slow learner it seems..
I was in the Sexy pool before 11am pool gear was packed ...just sucks watching your bag with that amount of cash in it ....
Can you tell us about the guy-girl ratio as March is notorious for having alot of guys compared to girls. Thanks in advance and thanks for sharing
we just got back dan and there were probably about 4 or 5 groups of single guys with anywhere between 4 and 6 guys in each one and almost all of them were from England. On lingerie night it was really cool until about 30 of them showed up without ONE woman. Kind of bothered some of the ladies in our group. They were obviously just there to lurk. Then one day in the hot tub they kept trying to worm their way into our group. All 18 of us moved into the next tub and left the two of them sitting there. Do you think they took the hint? Fuck no! They just came over and hopped in the other tub with us.! Finally we just left. They just dont seem to get it and most are too stunned or convinced that every guy there is willing to share their wife/gf that they just keep sticking around. Thats the guys who make the bad name for single guys. Nobody minds a single guy coming up and chatting but these guys are just too much. We had the same thing late in our March trip last year. Our next trip will definately be in Feb or April.
Yes i went once in march n said never again. I believe travel agents over the pond give the young british guy the wrong idea about Temptation. April is much better. Thank you so much for replying
Hey Dan - we were there (first timers) the 2nd thru the 11th of March and the crowd definitely began to change around the 7th or 8th (younger - more groups of single guys). We still had a great time - just not quite the same vibe as earlier. We are, for sure, going back to TTR and probably at the same time --- primarily because of many great new friends we met. Although the April and May groups sound like so much fun that we may just have to experience those times as well.
