I do recommend a water proof camera if possible- if the water is a bit rough, it will splash up onto the boat. hmm wonder if there is a whipped cream proof camera?? Anyway, we bring a small carry on bag- towels, sun tan spray (need to apply a few times especially if it's a sunny day), hat (if you tend to burn on your face, scalp) and cash- on our last trip, Steve brought us into this interesting, authentic bar on Isla-so you'll want enough to pay for drinks as well as a tip. Also if you'll need a bit extra if you want have a picture taken of holding a young shark on Isla) It's our preference not to have a wallet and charge cards (not that I don't trust people)...

Alright...still having issues figuring out which currency is better to take to mexico. I have heard lots either way but the person we are travelling with said that his friends just came back from Cancun and said that American was not very popular with the locals. I was planning on taking pesos to buy souvenirs and stuff and take US for tipping and excursions...can any one else let me know what they usually take?? Lots of opinions would be great so I can see what is the majority. Thanks!
