We are strongly planning on going to Temptations in Cancun, but wanted to clear up a few things we read about, but weren't entirely clear on: - How late are the pools and common jacuzzis open? - Are there any late night water partying (in pool, jacuzzi, etc) - Are the jacuzzis in the Jacuzzi rooms heated? Are they just a tub with some jets, or more like a hot tub? - Do we really need to wake up at 7am to put a T-shirt on some pool chairs? Can we do this and then go back to our room for an hour or two to get ready for the day? Thanks for any info in helping us to decide on booking a room! Monica artyhorn:
Pools and jaccuzzis are open til around 7 Jaccuzzi room tubs are tubs with hot water and jets U really don't need to get chairs if u dot need em. We didn't last year because we didn't bring our stuff down to the pool...if we wanted to relax out of the pool. Then we sat in a friends chair
Everything about the resort seems perfect beyond the pools closing so early. We are strongly considering Grand Parnassus just because of the late night hot tub. But it seems like there's so much to do at TTR in the evening that no one cares? I really haven't seen many people complain that the pool closes. In contrast, people complain that GP can get slow. $-wise its a draw for us. A final question--my bf wants to know if at least we can be on the beach at night; i.e. no one will herd us away... thanks, Monica
After being at the pool all day, we are ready for a break in the evenings. We usually head up for a power nap and get dressed for the evening. There is always a party going on at night (at least when the mid May crowd is there.) Yes, you can visit the beach at night. There are swings at the bar near the sexy pool that are always being occupied at night. Late night parties at PatyO's sometimes go til morning. The bar stays open until 5am and yes I have been there when Johnny closed it. If you decide on TTR, you won't be disappointed.
We've stayed at Golden Parnassus before and it was Slow Motion L-A-M-E... They had no swim up bar then (may have now, though) which really sucked! The Jacuzzi was nice, but there was just 4 of us in it late night. I would book TTR in a heartbeat over GP...
Yeah Glen... Dirty Bit all the way... Have fun in May. We're back to TTR in a week...can't wait. We'll miss you guys though. We'll try to make in back next January for Susie's birthday though. Oh, and I totally agree with Glen. TTR has a vibe you won't find anywhere else. I've been to a bunch of all-inclusives, but nothing compares... Jeff & Beth
Jeff & Beth... so excited to hear that you two are repeaters already! It was great meeting you back in January. Mhorva... Trust GNS. They know what they are talking about. By the time the pools close after the sun goes down I was usually ready to get on dry land and keep the party going in Paty O's. In regards to the loungers it is really just personal preference. We stopped getting chairs after the second day. We just find a friend who doesn't mind if we leave our shoes and sunscreen (we need it... just look at us northerners) underneath their chair and spend the rest of the day in the pool. The trips we had jacuzzi rooms we found that they were heated (hot and cold faucets) and had jets that you could turn on and off. We added bubbles (ie: all the sample sized shampoo in the room).
Hey you two... long time no chat! Hope you're both doing well and surviving the snowstorm we got in the northeast today. I'll be driving through Buffalo on Friday night so hope the snow is clear by then Anyway, hope you're doing well and hope that we might see you back again next January... that would be 3 visits in a year for us. Unbelievable. Never thought that would happen, but that's what TTR can do to ya Jeff & Beth
