Yes. Food-wise I enjoyed the guacamole @ Margaritas, the red wine at the Italian restaurant and the experience of the Mayan coffee. Beach-wise, the sand was fine and clean, the water was warm, but you can't really swim. Drinks-wise, try the Mexican Blow Job shot and try crafting your own drink using the fresh juices from the buffet. Trip-wise, the highlights were Chichen-Itza and swimming in the Il-Kil cenote.

You make good points Zoe. I'm surprised you like the house wine cause everyone else seems to hate it lol. I will say it again, i have no problems w you not liking something at TTR or not liking TTR itself. But can you understand that twice(don't go for sophisticated conv, n the comment about believing chinos) you basically called people who go there stupid. That's your only wrong doings in your posts. everything is totally acceptable n a matter of opinion. I give you full credit for answering your critics as most people don't have the balls to do it...DANO

I think what we have here is a case of a post on the internet being interpreted differently than the OP intended. As we are not privy to the nonverbal cues (posture, inflection, intonation, etc.), we have to take what she posted at face value. While she was brief and blunt, I do not believe it was her intent to insult anyone. She simply has different taste in food and entertainment than many of us.

It is also my opinion that we have some very dedicated TTR fans who perhaps took the Trip Report a bit too personally. And I am definitely a fan of TTR, but perhaps the fact that it was only our first time allowed me to have a different perspective. Zoe has been extremely gracious about providing rebuttals to even the borderline hostile replies, so I think it's time we put this thread to rest.

    I hope I don't lose my orange wrist band over this . . .

*yikes* looks like I've been missing the excitement...
I haven't been to TTR yet and even after the review I'm still totally excited in fact I'm really looking forward to being overserved at the bar (is there really such a thing) and if the hardest question I have to answer is when or if I'm taking my top off I'll be a happy camper.
I did appreciate the heads up on the beach though, but I think seaweed in the water is a currents issue more so than a resort issue.
