Ok i value n respect your opinion(except for the condescending ones about conversation n basicaly having to be stupid to enjoy Chinos entertainment). This is what this board is about. That being said, had you really paid attention to this board, you would've seen many posts where it says the beach isn't great at all at Temptation. Also many posts have said how TTR is a frat party for adults. N no offence but that is definetely not the atmosphere you were looking for. So why go? But Now you're complaining about "CREME BRULEE" AT TTR? At 3 -3 1/2 * resort? It's like going to McDonalds complaining about the quality of beef. Makes no sense

    Well Witty

Firstly may i say thank you for your trip report as we will be newbie's in september and always appreciate good honest reports from other people.
I for 1 like to go on holiday and have good food and good conversation aswell, unfortunately it sounds like most of the people on this board don't have either the brain capacity or knowledge to have any form of good conversation.
We have been on many holidays throughout the caribbean and met many very nice people but because of the small mindedness of people on this board i am now thinking of changing resorts as i for 1 don't want to fly 10hrs and meet people that hold any form of conversationor can't take critisism.
I have been reading these forums for the last 2 months now and i find that there is a big clique and they don't want any newbie's joining in on there fun and all they are interested in is driving the newbie's away from what they believe is THEIR resort and nobody else's.
As i'm english i can party with the best of them but unfortunately i am now thinking that i dont want to lower my standards and drink with small minded Americans that can't take good honest critisism.

    Zoe,

My wife and I have been to TTR numerous times and will continue to go. We do not go for the quality of food or drink, but for the quality of people and great freinds we have made over the years.

    It is not for everyone.

I for one am not offended by your comments. You are entitled to your opinions as is everyone else that post on this board. I am sorry the resort did not live up to your expectations.

    Kim

Wow its always someone w no posts at all that say stuff like this. Do everyone a favor n book somewhere else where you will get what you want n need cause obciously TTR is not for you. Not saying anything bad about you just saying you'd better be served at a resort more to your liking

You know this sort of reminds me of the first time we considered going to Turkey many years ago. It was long before the internet was mainstream so all we had to go on were books and word of mouth. We heard so many horror stories ranging from "the food will poison you" thru "the whole place stinks" to "Don't take your kids, they will steal them and sell them into slavery".............. honestly. We toughed it out, went that year, and had the best holiday ever, so much so that we are over 20 year repeaters.
I guess what I'm trying to say is you need to try places yourself to form an opinion. No amount of reports from other people will tell you if you, personally will like a place.
    Just saying.

I am a newbie and have been met with open arms...what you think being English or American or any other nationality has to do with it is beyond me. You are a hypocrite...you are showing the exact snobby behavior your so dead against. Nobody has any issues with a trip report good or bad...its the snide comments about peoples intelect that are not well recieved. There is lots of good food and conversation....but its not the Ritz...and if anyone had truely researched where they were going they would know that. There are people from every walk of life at TTR has the highest repeat customer base in Cancun...but hey it must be you thats right....hope you enjoy your vacation where ever you go...I am going to have the time of my life...even without Creme Brulee. lol

Jim, he DID set aside his drink for a coffee. The whole place was scandalized! There's a first time for everything...
