Trip Report - March 10-13

Sorry to be so blunt but ....crap!!!! Lighten up

 

Different strokes for different folks. Next time go to some pretentious hotel, sit by the pool with your top on, read your Ipad and sip a few flutes of champagne till the waiter says youve reached your limit. I say "Screw That!!!" I wanna drink too much, eat well, and have fun with some Great People. I also could go anywhere I want on vacation. I will always choose Temptation. It's my kind of place!!!!

 

I have never been Temptations and look forward to my first trip in a few short weeks.

Being I have never been, I can give an outsiders view on this topic. First of all, I have been to a few high end resorts in my short 29 years old life. I found them to be boring and filled with sophistication and dining that required me to wear fancy clothes that I had to press before dinner. That doesn't mean the resort was bad, it simply means I need to do more research on the resorts I plan to stay at. I did not find this site until we had already decided on Temptations, and given the tools online to research resorts, I find it hard for someone to not have a clue about what they are signing up for when they visit Temptations. I don't expect everything to be perfect, I don't expect top notch everything, but I do expect to meet people of all kinds that share a certain bond I learned about AFTER reading on here. It wasn't until I saw the thread about bringing Jim (I believe that is his name) to the resort, even tho he wasn't able to make it work financially, that I understood how much more this resort offers over a simple 'getaway'. Tell me one 5 star resort that had people there that were willing to give up their hard earned money in a tough economy to spread the fun and joy to someone that could not come. Everything in life is what you make of it, and not everyone will love Temptations, but with the comment of not experiencing the nightlife....I know that she missed the entire value of the trip, and the people. I wish her the best, but hope others take this resort for what is. I cannot wait to visit!
