I do 6 minutes in the stand-up and I still get more pink than brown, but at least I get a base. I always lather the sunscreen on my face, but my nose is always as red as rudolph. That's ok, eventually, the skin will either peel or turn brown and freckled.
i want to try the stand up one... but am a bit frightened! i've taken it so slow and haven't burned yet in the low beds... one good burn and i'll be done for over a week! this lobster doesnt heal very fast! not sure how short a time i can go in the stand up bed and yet show some sort of result from it... ugh! why can't we live back when pasty white skin was the 'in' thing??? :aktion034:
Tanning I will be visiting a bed soon as well. I tan rather easily and I start at 12 minutes as well and jump to 15 the next visit and usually up to 20 the first week. My other half on the other obviously doesn't need the bed. Lucky him doesn't have to waste his time or money. We are getting closer!! Docnnurse

Careful some of the new beds will fry you in 5 minutes, depends too on the age of the bulbs.They will usually tell you. The place I go to has three or for different types of beds, normal, max, stand up..... I listen to their advice on times,,, cause the new beds they have do burn you in 5 minutes, See you on the 12th pre-tanned!
