well, after 6 months of sitting on my arse waiting for winter to do it's thing, I finally decided that last night I'd get out and go for a run .. managed 2 miles without a breather, which i was surprised at, got one of those GPS tracker apps on my phone so I can see how far (or not) i've run and where .. pretty cool! right now my legs feel like dead weight; feel the burn lol, i have 3 and a half months to get in shape before i wreck myself in Ibiza; main aim is to gain a bit of weight (the right kind that is), which is harder than you think; i'm trying to avoid the gym as i'll be damned if I am paying their prices so in the process of converting my office in to a mini gym area, bring it on!
not to bad..still need to get rid of some fat... need more time to really see them but I know they are peeking out.. haha..
ok, i am seriously out of shape! the only exercise i do normally is hiking, and well, in the winter that doesnt happen much, if at all. so i haven't done jack-squat since a 16 mile backpacking trip last september. SO... i actually did something this morning, and i am panting from it! first i did a 15 minute video using a workout ball, which was ok... then i looked up that Tabatas stuff and did a quick 4 minutes following that... holy geepers... those 4 min. killed me. haha. after my legs stop shaking, i will attempt to do another 4 minute move of some sort this afternoon, and maybe another this evening, if i don't die first. i had no idea just how pathetic i actually am at the moment!
i'm with you on this one!! i have always been a horrible water-drinker!!! 8 glasses a day and i swear i'll float away! in fact, some days i realize i hardly drink anything at all. i'm really bad! my body is always so dehydrated... probably why i am tired all day long! pretty sad when i know my problem, know how to fix it, and yet, still dont. maybe i just need a permanent water IV.
I know exactly how you feel.. but .. trust me..go easy for the first day or 5.. you will be sorry!..lol and you wont want to or be able to do anything tomorrow.. make sure you take a couple minutes to warm up and stretch.. and cool down and stretch after.. hopefully you are not as out of shape as you say and wont be too soar.. great first day though!!..you go girl!
Your way too funny, I'm dieting and losing.. good, drinking water and green tea, I swear somtimes I feel like I'm going to drown from the amount of water.. but now comes the working out !!! I'm getting close... just around the corner from 50th bday, I smoke, drink, high stress job, so my thoughts on this working out idea right now... is I'll have a friggin heart attack.. drop dead before I get back to temptations. I checked out that Tabatas and just watching I could almost feel my heart explode in my chest...LOL You Keep at and I will try and do somthing.. Years ago I use to be in great shape, but holy hell I sure let things go... the pain the pain... hah ah... We can do it... :cheerleaders:
Ok water is great n flushes out the toxins from your body. You ever notice if you drink lots of water consistenly you don;t get sick very often? But water doesn't burn fat!! If you drink water often it stops you from drinking juice(which is full of sugar n will make u fat) n other drinks so it's helpful in that sense, but doesn't burn fat itself.
