It was a fabulous trip and we will return to TTR. People The primary reason we will definitely be returning to Temptations is the people, and how easy it was to make new friends and let loose. The group was mostly couples (ages 25 – 65), and very diverse - nationalities, ethnicities, and professions – all with having fun in common. We did not find TTR to be a swingers resort (some was going on – very much behind closed doors) but, there is a highly charged sexual atmosphere and you can really let your hair down (and tops off). A few spring breakers arrived late in the week and the atmosphere changed somewhat – (but was still fun). Food Buffet - better than typical all-inclusive buffet food. Everything seemed fresh and not recycled. There was always great variety and there were special dishes on certain nights. Specialty restaurants - Getting reservations for the specialty restaurants was a hassle (it sure seems that they would have a better way to do it). Staff shows no flexibility or seems to have no authority for such in handling reservations. We only ate at the Italian one time – and it was terrific food and great service. Rooms & Grounds Typical of a 3½ Star resort - clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Bed firmness was just right. Air conditioning worked great, but it was loud – actually the loudness masked some of the noise that was coming from Paty‘Os late into the night. (Don’t get a room near Paty’Os unless you are a late night partier or a very sound sleeper.) The refrigerator will be restocked with beer and soft drinks and you will receive a new bottle of water every morning. Drinks Be sure to bring your own insulated mug or large cup, because the drinks are served in small cups. Servers will be happy to fill your cups up for you and you’ll make fewer trips the bar. The drinks did not appear to be watered down (as has been reported) – to the contrary they are strong and plentiful. Plus, it seemed that a little tipping assured very prompt service. Martini’s at Paty’Os before dinner became our tradition (Daniel really knows how to make a great Extra-dry Dirty Martini). Pools Clean for the most part, although by the end of each day the sexy pool was a bit cloudy from all the washed off sun block. Can’t really speak too much about sports pool or the quiet pool, because we were at the sexy pool almost all of the time -- great / atmosphere. Activities staff keep this pool going all the time with a variety of way too funny games. Expect the unexpected - you'll have a lot of fun - if you have an adult sense of humor and (if you participate in the contests) you had better have thick skin. Nightly Entertainment Really, there’s no need to leave the resort (other than to do Steve’s Boobs Cruise – which is a must). There are shows nearly every night in Nice Shoes or at Paty’Os. Some of the shows are audience participation and provide very funny entertainment – not always clean fun but no one gets hurt and people are roaring with laughter. lingerie Casino night is a must – and you must be dressed accordingly to get in – then everyone stays in his or her attire and the dancing continues at Paty’Os. Making Friends Making contact with people on CancunCare.com and planning to say hello once we got there really opened the door to having some great times and forming what we are sure will be lasting friendships. Too many to mention all, but in particular we formed a strong bond and hung out the rest of the week with our Boobs Cruise group including Sue & Rob, Rock & Debby, Kim & Korri, Katie & Dave, Perry & Kathy, Neil & Jo, Dave & Rhonda, JC (Mr. Temptation) & Manuela, Steve & Stephanie, and Nate & Rachel. We can’t wait to book our return trip and look forward to seeing everyone back there again.
We're having TTR withdrawls reading your TR and remembering the two amazing weeks we had there last year. We found pretty much all of our Cancuncare friends once we got there (or they found us) and we formed many more close friendships! Many of our new friends have already been back or are shortly on their way back again this year. Cheers everyone!
We were also newbies to TTR. If you'd like anymore first timer perspectives, we'd be happy to give you more info.
We are newbies...Our first trip will be July 12 - 19. We are going with our best friends and can't wait. We love reading about everyone's experiences also and getting all the info we can ahead of time. If your going to be there when we are please let us know and say hi..
