Great job everyone! I wanted to lie low on this one a little as site owner but was very interested to see how it developed. I think this is a "first" for cancuncare.com and just shows the quality of people we have here and exemplifies the long lasting friendships that are made. Have to say that even I was astounded by the strength of feeling shown. If anyone deserved this kind of support from friends old and new then it is Jim. Have a great trip mate! Cya on the cruise!

Steve, Thanks so much for the kind words and for building and running such a great website where people can not only get information they need, but make friends and extended family in the process, I never thought years ago when I signed up as a "newbie" to get information about cancun, that I would end up making lifelong friends and continue meeting new and great people every day, so for that Im grateful to you and Janet and your family for all that you do for not only this website but for all of us. Cant wait to see you guys on the cruise....... To everyone else that not only contributed to this but added kind words and shows of support for me during this, I have been completely overwhelmed and havent smiled and teared up this many times in a long long time... I was completely against this in the beginning, Cuz like anyone else my pride didnt want to accept handouts... but after seeing post after post and donation after donation, I realized that there was no stopping this, So I sat back and watched old friends and new friends and people I haven't even met chime in to contribute and post kind things. I am still trying to figure out what I have done to deserve all this, but I am truly thankful and honored to accept this and looking forward to spending this trip with my great friends and making many many more, I can only hope I live up to hype that my april group has laid out for me....In life there are many more important things then a vacation, however sometimes to get away and refresh is just what somone needs to come back and take on the every day battles, Let this thread be an example that good hearted people are still out there and will come together to help. Well Jim pretty much said it all, just wanted to put my two cents in... Steve none of this could of happened without you and this website. So many people have been brought together, friends for life. If it hadn't been for this site none of this would have happened. Thank you for this and thank you for letting us be apart of this, I think its pretty special that we came together and accomplished what we set out to do and we (jeff & deb) got to be apart of it. deb

Hell no... we dice it up and add it to one of the wonderful omelets that Rosa makes us for breakfast... Jim, your humility is a breath of fresh air... And I'm sure this memory will last us a lifetime (almost as long as the memories of all the body shots that will be done on this upcoming trip!)...
