Let me preface this by saying this was on our 9th trip to Temptations....We arrived on Xmas day...got our room...all was fine...headed to the sexy pool....then back to the room for a shower before dinner....and we had NO HOT WATER....thought it must just be busy...had a great night...next morning for the shower....NO HOT WATER...thought this was a little strange but decided to wait...after a day at the pool...back to the room....NO HOT WATER.....So called the front desk...they sent up a maintenance man (quite quickly too I might add)...he checked it out and in the best english he could manage told us that we WERE TURNING THE KNOB THE WRONG WAY!!!!! How embarrassed were we.....LOL...two days of cold showers....9 trips and still newbies.....

Early in December, it was really cold out..esp. at night. Lots of people, including me, didn't have hot water my last 3 days. Kinda unpleasant. It seemed that if you were on the 3rd. floor.
But I know what you mean...I did that one trip, too.

We changed rooms last visit because the room safe was not working. The new room had the same problem. Maintenance showed us the switch behind the door when it's open....

I called the front desk once, while staying at a Holiday Inn in St. John's, NFLD, to say I couldn't find the control for the air conditioning. The desk clerk politely advised me that they didn't have air conditioning and don't generally need it.

haha, those Newfoundlanders...and no air conditioning !!

Last April while at TTR the all glass shower door snapped off the hinges right from the wall...so I hop out of the shower call the front desk, they send maintenance up, he takes the door and says he'll be back tomorrow with a new one. Pretty tough getting a shower without a door or curtain...

I did the EXACT same thing this year = and it was our 6th trip. At least I was the only 1 to take a cold shower the first night.
When hubby used the shower he hollered cause it was too hot = then of course called me blonde and asked how much I really had to drink - since I was turning it the wrong way too

On my virgin visit, I was in the shower and someone was banging on the door. I shouted, "I'm in the shower!" More shouting in Spanish..more banging on the door. Finally I got out wrapped a towel around me, one for the hair. That's when I realized that I had flooded the shower...the water was all over my room and under the door into the hall.
I had an army of cute Mexicans cleaning it up while I stood there(like an idiot) in my towels!

Late dec, early jan, the air was really cold. Pool maintenance guy said they were diverting hot water from rooms to pool to heat, ther where a lot of cold water complaints . Later that week they got the pool heater going, sort of, they turned the hole pool into a giant Jaccuzi. It was actually too hot. Going back in April hopefuully they got the bugs out and find a happy medium .
If you have a Jacquelin in your room/balcony you never run out of hot water.
