    Hello Everyone!

We are planning a trip during the last weekend in July. I have a few questions if anybody could help we would truly appreciate it. Here goes in no particular order:
What expenses should we be prepared for above and beyond the "all inclusive" elements?
What is the vibe/music like at the pools...is it anything like the pool at Hard Rock Las Vegas (love that place)?
I read somewhere the resort basically shuts down around 8pm and encourages everyone to go into town...is that true? If not, what nights are best for each bar? If true, where are the good bars in town?
Anything else that you "wish you had thought of" before you left please share!

    Thanks everyone!

Wow. Where to start. At the resort there are very few things u would need money for...
Extra excursions like scuba diving or going to a club are extra.

The music is like that at the hard rock. Current up beat music
    Swingers is more an exception
The topless percentage is different with each crowd. Ours was about 70%
Taxis can be negotiated. Anywhere from 10-40 bucks

Thanks for the info! If you think of any other things to help us plan ahead that would be great. We are totally excited about this trip.

Coco Bongos is not to new missed. I've heard others thoughts, but I still think going with Temptations buys is the best way top go.

Never forget some tipping money. I always think what it means to me vs what it means to them, and realizing that they work fast harder than I do.

Please excuse any typos. Getting used to a new phone, and practicing for Temptations as I type this.

I bring alot of $1, $5, $10 for tips. I usually bring $100 in $1's plus lots of $5's and $10's since I hate trying to be constantly getting change. If you like wine with dinner, other than the house wine is extra. (the house wine is horrible). Lobster and other special dinners are extra at the speciality restaurants..maybe $30 more. I've never ordered any of them since there are alot of other great things to have. Spa services(massages etc.), excursions are extra.
The resort is quite lively. The nightly outing to the bars doesn't leave til 10 so "dead at 8" is totally not true.
Don't bother overplanning your trip. Just take it as it comes and enjoy. If you miss something, you'll just have to do it next time.

Be sure to tip those that are not usually tipped. The guys picking up trash, cutting grass, washing the walkways, raking seaweed, etc. These people work very hard for little money. Makes their day to get a tip.
As for outfits, you will see all types at TTR. Jeans and Tee to some of the sexiest clubwear you can imagine.
TTR definitely doesn't shut down at night. The best parties are at PadyO's late at night.
Usually 70 - 80% percent topless at the pool. Starts out slow but picks up later in the day.
Lots of "Swayers" at TTR. If you see fun happening just join in. It's only as much fun as you make it.
    ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY:daveandmo:

at the hotel itself you really only need money for tips if you wish to give them and for the scuba diving or if you plan any tours through the hotel.

we go in Nov/dec and yes several people do chose to go to the clubs around 10pm. the night hotel entertainment starts at 9pm so for it closing down at 8pm thats not true. most people who chose to stay at the resort (we were those people) party at the patio bar which is outside until 2 am or so. by then you are ready for bed anyway due to drining all day!

at night the women wear anything from casual shorts and tank tops to sexy barely there dresses. anything you decide will be fine. i usually went sexy but not to dressy.

you can get a cab from downtown if you decide to go to the clubs.

if you hit the town during the day I would just take the city bus. it is less than a dollar per person and there is a stop right outside the hotel.

I'm not a swinger but I know I have seen swingers there. doesnt' bother me. everyone does there own thing and if you are open minded everyone gets along. you will meet some great people and you will stay connected with them for years to come.

hope this helps:) Have a great time!
