Hey guys, this may sound a bit of a strange question to ask about a vacation but for any of you guys who have been there, i was wondering what the gym is like in the Temptation resort? Ive searched for pictures but the only ones ive seen are just of the cardio equipment. Are theyre any weights machines or free weights aswell? Thanks, Tom
It's got some free weights, it's not really equiped well enough for me so i kinda have to impovise. There are some elypticals and treadmills. It's enough to work out the alcohol from the night before.
The gym has two nice treadmills that I recognize from upscale gyms, seemed to be paced really well, and one beater treadmill that isn't paced well AT ALL. There's one or two ellipticals as well. These cardio machines overlook the sports pool. From what I remember about weights--there's definitely free weights, also a bench press bar on a bench, and a couple more machines. It's small but nice and clean, and most things looked new-ish, and there's a water machine and towels as well. My husband ran outside a couple of days; the sidewalk is nice and some parts of town have a nice running track by the ocean.
Thanks for the replys guys. Tbh i dont really mind if its not a huge fully equipped gym as, like beast says, as long as theres some free weights, things can be improvised. I did read somwhere on somones holiday review that there was a gym close by to the hotel, has anyone noticed this on their travels?
I did not notice that myself but would be interested to know where it is if you find out. I'm not sure how serious you are but I compete and was able get by with what they had at TTR. Again, I just had to get creative to get in a good workout but definitely got my heart rate up. My wife and I worked out for about an hour and 20 minutes each time and was satisfied with what we could do, after all we are on vacation and knew we weren't going to go all out like we do at home. Hope this helps.
Tom, the gym is great. As was said, there are treadmills and ellipticals; there is a smith machine for squats and bench presses, and there is another pulldown cable machine for tricep extensions, chin ups, etc.. I've seen better gyms-hedo II etc., but for where it is, it is perfect!
I didn't do the math but we managed to get in some workouts every night back in the room. :aktion031:
An hour n 20 min each time? Wow! My workouts are 35-40 min max as i only do one body part a day n no cardio
Yeah, one body part Dan but a lot of cardio after strength training at TTR. The goal is to sweat out the poison from the night before so i can do it all over again. Always makes me feel better. I will admit, towards the end of the week that time tends to get less and less. lol Now, at my home gym I will usually go about 50 minutes at a high intenisity level so I keep my metobolism peeked. If i'm getting ready for a show i will do atleast 45 minutes of cardio as well, sometimes double sessions depending on what my body fat % is the closer i get to the show.
