I would prefer to meet a pack of kids that were raised the way I was. That way not only would they know how to spell respect but would know what it means as well. Then we wouldn't need gun control laws.
That WOULD be the ultimate, but how realistic is it that every single kid in America gets raised properly..? Difference between classes(income) etc. Good values, and so on... Until then, Id still take pencils over guns, no doubt
Will never happen but is that reason not to try. The way I see it "when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns"
Oh, one should ALWAYS aim at a 100%, regardless if its realistic or not. Dont mean outlaw them completely, but I still can see the point of making more of them available. I still wonder how the previous assailants seemed to have walked in to the school, with a bunch of weapons. Dont know how it works in the US, but seems a bit too easy that one can just step right in with weapons and ammo, and in previous cases - not "just" one concealed pistol, but rather a small arsenal... Scary.
Absolutely! A shift in the education system and parenting instruction took place in the early 90's.. I think it was in both countries. At school they didn't want to hurt kids feelings by pointing out that they were giving a wrong answer. No competition so no-one feels like a loser. Kids were and are taught that they are "special". Creativity, self confidence and free expression are cultivated by letting the kids say whatever they want and in many cases teachers told to treat them like equals. Parents were told the same. Both are terrified to disipline for fear of the kid calling child services on them. Ask these kids what the golden rule is and they look at you like you are from Mars. So, you are left with a generation of entitled, disrespecting "special" kids and another one on the way. But still, if both Canada and the U.S. have the same problem with this then how come there are so many more shooting incidences in the U.S.?
Population United States 305,689,000 Population Canada 33,689,000 Texas Population 2010 = 23,904,380 Alberta Population 2010 = 3,786,398 Wouldn't it stand to reason?
That's true but Canada's 2006 firearm homicide rate was nearly six times lower than the United States. But it was about three times higher than the rate in Australia and six times higher than in England and Wales. The rate of non-firearm homicide was fairly similar in all four. Maybe it's access to firearms and maybe it's not. But there has to be a reason or reasons. Maybe we're to cold up here to go outside and shoot someone... lol
Now there we go!!! a perfect explanation, also the fact that Canadians are well known for their complacency.
I thought they were too drunk to shoot straight!!!!! LOL Maybe we are just better shots. But to be honest - its the mob mentality just like putting too many dogs in the same pen. The more you have - the more they will fight.
Ah hell time to have some fun with this topic... This week: Texas passes a carry and conceal law allowing people to have firearms on them while in class at a university. End of the school year: Texas universities show a dramatic rise in the average marks and a huge drop in failing marks! Like I said I just wanted to have a little fun with it!
