It's ok I think the sharks are full now so you don't have to worry. The chance is always there, Cancun is on the ocean after all. But it's hardly what I would call a shark attack hotspot. Just be safe and wash your hands after you finish cutting up a side of beef. You never know
"Authorities in Cancun are still searching for the shark, which escaped into open waters after the attack." "escaped?!?" Um.. The shark was trying to give birth in the ocean and got threatened by a person and bit that person. I'm not saying it's the lady's fault, but leave the damn shark alone.
My wife almost bit me for breathing to hard in her face while giving birth, so sharks may be more like people than we think:icon_smile:. We've parasailed there before, never saw any sharks, lots of sea turtles. Agreed, it IS the ocean...we aren't the ones with gills, have to respect nature.:sunny:
Kinda Interesting... The same this woman was attacked, they showing hundreds of sharks swarming off the east coast of Florida on our nightly news..near Palm Beach, I think. And mentioned how unusual it was. Since then, I've seen more reports of the sharks swarming off the coast of Florida. Last one was a day or two ago, and they said that the sharks are migrating to the warmer waters but never before have they been observed in such large numbers. Maybe they are headed to Cancun. I haven't heard how this lady is recovering lately. I hope she's doing ok. Does anyone know?
