My husband and I are going to be staying at Temptations March 17-23rd, and it's our first time in Cancun. Can anyone recommend the must see excursions for Cancun? We were thinking about Xcaret or Xplor.. but we weren't sure. We're so excited!!

    Thanks!!

Theres tons of things to do, and they will show you all the options in the excursion office. However, there are two "musts". Steve's booze/Boobs Cruise. And COCO BONGOS !!!!.

We did Xel-ha 2 years ago. was alot of Kids there but it was nice. Need to bring under water camera and Reef friendly sun tan lotion.

There are links right at the bottom of the page.

PS you have to do the Boobs Cruise

I would say stop by the Playboy Club which is about a 5 minute walk away from TTR. It just opened in December so I can't say it's a must do but we are going to stop by one night when we are there.

I went to Xel ha a couple of years ago and it was well worth the money. There are so many things to do there. And yes, CoCo Bongos is a great trip to make too!

Coco Bongos is cool, especially if you go with a group... in fact, all of the clubs and night spots are better with a group. On the other hand, we were having so much fun at Temptations (not to mention the free drinks) that we didn't feel the need to leave the resort at all the last time we went. Seriously, where are you gonna go that's likely to be any sexier and crazier than Temptations?

As for daytime excursions, we enjoyed visiting Chichen Itza (the Mayan pyramids), but you have to be willing to give up almost a whole day of hanging out by the sexy pool since it takes several hours to get out there and back. The only other excursion we did (many years ago before we were going to TTR) was driving mini-speed boats across the lagoon and then snorkeling out in the open ocean. That was pretty fun and didn't eat up the whole day.

Now that this is our fourth time back to Cancun though, we don't even bother leaving the resort. Like I said, where are you gonna go that's going to be more fun and have cheaper drinks (and more topless women ;) ) than Temptations?

Xcaret and Xel-ha are fantastic!!!!! Just DONT go to Chitzenitza!!!! Its hot and there is nothing there to see!!!! There is also great jungle tours which you can ride wave runners, speed boats, or horses. We did a jungle tour on 4-wheelers and had the time of our lives!!!!!!!! Only in Mexico would you drive 4-wheelers into the junlge, then onto to the beach, and stop for a few coronas...then get back on your 4-wheeler for an even crazier ride back to the front!!!!! haha it was great!!!

I disagree whole-heartly with this. :icon_lol: I thought Chichen Itza was fantastic. Lots to see. It's whatever floats your boat. I do like going off resort about day 4-5. give you liver a bit of a rest so you can go hard again in your last couple days. Besides, it gives you some pics that you can actually show your family and co-workers when you get home.
