Im staying from 3/11-3/18 who else is going to be staying during this time? Some questions for people who have stayed in years past: 1- Are we allowed to have bottles of liquor on premises and are security guards dicks about it? 2- Are the food options any good on site? I know we can easily walk to couple food places but its good to know. 3- What building is the best building to be staying in. Ive been inside the 6 story one last year and it was pretty kick ass with the ocean view. 4- I plan on partying Oasis-esque with tons of bottles poolside and beads and the whole 9 yards is this kind of behavior going to be allowed? #TeamKrystal
Things might certainly change this year because of Krystal being a studentcity HQ but from when I went last year I would say... 1. We bought liquor bottles a couple times and had no problem whatsoever. I actually was holding a bottle by the neck as we walked in (never even occured to me that this wouldnt be allowed) 2. Didn't check out many of the food options. the buffet was pretty good but it's also very small. however there is discounts at certain restaurants as well when you stay at Krystal so we ate at the hard rock a lot. 3. The newer building is nicer for sure, the old building doesn't have balconies. the view was still really nice and overall, as a place to sleep, it wasn't so bad but it was definitely getting worn down. we booked the newer side this year. 4. Never saw people with bottles by the pool and going all out so I have no idea. It definitely got pretty loud and people were drunk and playing drinking games and stuff but since I haven't stayed at Oasis I can't say if that level of partying will be allowed. We get to Krystal on the 6th this year so i guess we shall see how much it changes to accomodate StudentCity
Ally what day are you there ? Is music allowed by their pool? I feel that even with the more lax regulations possibly my oasis mindset is a bit much.
Spoke with my manager here's the deal: Much more lax than previous years and they are allowing under 21 students for the first time outside of highschool break. Corona lounge with free coronas all day it's sectioned off. Possibly two stages but more than likely just one big one on the beach Hotel is gonna be at capacity from the looks of it and they will be encouraging daypassers with more than just 50% off.
I was only 19 when I went there last year so I don't see how it can be the first time they are allowing under 21 haha. Also, I'm pretty sure you're allowed music by the pool. There always was music just never paid attention to where it was all coming from lol I seriously cannot wait!!! Only 18 more days for me
Cant wait to finally get down there. What sucks is Krystal seems to be giving off the vibe that they are going to be real strict this year but studentcity says they will be oasis-like. Krystal says no alcohol in rooms no outside guests no loud noise which sucks =(
