I buy/sell futures contracts on a daily basis, futures is 24 hours a day (closed fridays same time as the stock market, open back up sunday afternoon/evening)
Anyways, futures is a beast and if you dont keep it tamed you can lose everything.

As you can see it is imperative that i have a working internet connection that can support desktop software applications that give me access to charts, and real time data. I am bringing my laptop and i will call verizon to see if they have a global wireless air card, however if they do not, i would like to know if the hotel has wireless access or what my other options may be?

The oasis has lobby computer that you have to pay for but usually people who buy access dont log off and you can do your thing.

Im sure that some mexican cell carriers will have some sort of wifi but if not you might have to go to a nicer resort to see if you can bum some internet.

Ok. I know what you are talking about. I trade Forex ;-)
To be honest.... The cellular internet connection is a two bladed knife. Sometimes you got a strong 3G signal and awesome ping/bandwith sometimes its slow as hell and you get disconnected pretty often.

I will put down any options on my travel as i dont want to hassle with that, there is tomuch risk if you are daytrading and the data-connection is not reliable... And also big bucks and booze dont mix well ;-)

If you have any trouble you can surely use my cell as a wifi hotspot as i have an unlimeted global data plan (as long i get a signal)

Or go to Starbucks, buy something cheap and on the bottom of the receipt is the login info. It changes every 90 days, so you only need to buy something one time. There is a Strabucks in Plaza Forumn (Coco Bongo) and at Plaza Caracol (next stop up from Bongos)

Internet options at Oasis blows. There is no connection in the room. They have some pay by the minute shitty computers in the lobby and near the buffet.

I wouldn't be doing any trading on spring break. That's just crazy.

    Thanks guys for the input.

Also not planning on daytrading, but need to be aware of whats going on so that I can hedge or liquidate certain positions if need be. Not trying to add or buy and sell more defensive than offensive.

    thanks
