It doesn't help that the banner ad on the forums page calls Temptation the "Cancun Swingers' Resort"

I take no responsibility for my previous posts errors (iPhone and fat fingers lol)! And how do you swing in a closet? There's not much room in there!

    Not a Good Mix

We read lots of posts on here and personally chatted with 2 other couples that have been to the resort many times. I know that I am going to take heat from singles and couples on this but the simple truth is you cannot have single guys at a resort like this. The mix of semi nude women, lots of booze, is a volatile mix. You might be able to get away with limiting the number of single guys and or the size of the single guy groups. There is no reason you should have to form alliance with people off a chat board in order to feel safe. The resort should be doing that. There are several posts on this board where single guys have been a problem, including drinks being drugged. There is a reason why other resorts or clubs with an sensual atmosphere have a couples only policy and or limit on single guys and the ones that do let single guys in almost always have very strict rules on behavior. The defense of this behavior on this chat board is always it can happen anywhere and that is true, but it seems far to common at this resort. Most establishments will reconize a continuous problem and make adjumstments, this resort continues to turn a blind eye in favor of the money that the single guys bring in ( which I understand ). What they better consider is that may also drive away couples which is the core of their business.

Could not disagree with you more. We just got back from our first trip there and booked our second trip there this April. There were several single guys when we were there. None were a problem that my wife couldn't handle politely. We made friends with several of them and had a great time with them. Nothing more goes on there then at any bar or nightclub in the US on any given night.

Wow i couldn't disagree more. Of my 5 trips at TTR i've seen more incidents w married men than single guys. Seems some think cause they're there w a woman they can get away with more. yes some single guys have been problematic and large groups of single guys have sometime been a bit much, but not to the extent it's being made out to be. That's why they have a sister hotel called Desire for COUPLES ONLY!!! There are alot of good guys that have been on this site a long time that are single. I've gon as a single and also with my girlfriend. I've even had 2 girls last year that i hadn't even spoken to tell people i was a pig. Without as much as a 5 minute conversation? I'm sure they complained about every single guy at the resort. Point being here, that there is bad single guys, bad married guys, and same to be said for women. We've over this single guy debate more than once on here n it's getting tired n old!!

Ok, 1st of all I am not saying every single guy is a problem. Most are not, so lets just please not keep repeating that arguement. I am sure most people that are there never have a problem. What I am saying is you cannot continue to mix the three together (a sensual atmosphere, booze and single guys with almost zero chance of hooking up) and not have problems. My second question to you is if you did have a problem, and it was just your wife and you there, how would you handle it? Are you going to trust the resort security, the mexican police? Do you understand that if things did get physical that the police can throw you in jail along with the individuals that you had an altercation with. Trust when I say that last thing you want is to have to deal with the Mexican police and court system (I am an attorney and had to help a friend out once in a mexico jail). Let me just say who is right and wrong has nothing to do with, it comes down to how big of a check you can write to make it go away. Think about it for a minute, why do you think most single guys are there? It is to look at your wife and or gf and hope to hook up with them. Some can do that respectfully and some cannot. Just because you personally never had a major problem does reflect everyone just as not every single guy is a problem. The resort though should have security and rules governing behavior, that is all I am saying.

The rules govering behavior should be for everyone, single or married. I agree just because you are there with a female goes not mean you have a lisc to do what you want.

Yes but every resort in the carribean(except couples only) has more single guys than single girls. And the atmosphere at BBG/TTR has always worked in the past. Even when some of the night activities at nice shoes were alot more sexually charged than now("Anything goes" comes to mind).

Uh oh not this kettle of piranhas again :(

The idea I can't contain myself around topless women or behave in a sexually charged atmosphere is laughable. I'll stick up for myself but I really don't think I can think of any new counter arguments to the same simplistic conclusion. Single guys don't cause problems, obnoxious people with poor judgment cause problems.

Sigh I feel like that kid pushing on a door marked pull lol!
