Would you upgrade to Grand Oasis if you were booked at the regular Oasis?

My girlfriend and I booked a room with the Oasis/Be Live Cancun for $730 for 5 nights, but after some research, I hear the Grand Be Live is a lot better. I just checked the website and it says I can book the same trip with the grand for $70 more, a total of $800. I was just wondering if it was worth upgrading for $70. I've never been to either.

We just want a okay/nice room, nice beach, good parties during the day, good people, good food, and to be able to get good drinks when we want. After reading some posts, it seems that it's hard to get good drinks. We want to be able to ask for a shot of Patron and get it without having to tip every drink. Can you do this at the regular Be Live Cancun/Oasis bars and restaurants?

In short, yes. You absolutely should do it, you will be glad you did. Rooms are better and have mini fridge. Restaurants are significantly better, and the bars that only people at the Grand can go to have better liquor and better service.

Grand is worth WAY more than $70 comparing to regular Oasis. Just the increase in quality of food alone, you will get your money back. It's a no brainer.

PS. I don't know if you can get patron shots at regular Oasis bars.

Yeah I think I will be upgrading. I just want to know if all the comments of not being able to get good drinks at the regular Oasis bars is true. Can you get shots at the pool bar? I just don't want to be drinking sugary frozen drinks that taste like nothing is in it. I've stayed at breezes in the bahamas and they weren't even allowed to take a tip. We'd go to the bar and get a margarita and then a shot of vodka and it wasn't a problem.
