Snorkeling

We are looking for a snorkeling excursion. Last year we did the jungle tour. The boats are fun but the snorkeling not so good. I found a tour down by Playa del Carmen called Paradise Reef. Anyone tried this tour? One more thing, whats the least expensive way to get to Isle Mujeres? Any information would be very much appreciated.

I heard last year permits have been limited to the best reefs.
Not all excursion go to the same reefs. Make sure to inquire.
was in Negril 4 years ago, Cancun(area) doesn't compare. It depends alot on the wind conditions too, sometimes the water get foggy. Went to Xe-ha last year
saw lots of fish , sting rays 6 to 7 foot barracuda ... pretty nice but boring at the same time -large lagoon with sand bottom.

 

the cheapest way to Isla is by ferry but there are excursions with snorkeling and trips to Isla...Steve's boob cruise is good for both...they had pretty good snorkeling on his trip! We went on a different cruise years ago and the snorkeling was just off of Isla and it was not good....you are in the current and float quickly...thru the snorkeling. Steve's you actually get to get in and swim around and enjoy the fish. As for the rest of the cruise....that is the party!! Good lunch, drinks and dancing on the boat...definitely fun!
