It mostly depends on how many people you have. If you are rolling with 8-10 people, you have leverage. Basically, you can shop around the prices with promoters on the street, 10 people, open bar, that's $450-550 in their pockets. If you walk away, that's money down the drain. So you can work that angle. We usually do the same thing, but with a promoter at Oasis that we know on a personal basis. We find out from her what the best deal she can get us for a place we want to go that evening. We usually specify we want tables. We pay up front, and we show up.

Of course, money talks, you can always just buy a table when you get to the club, I don't know how that works. It all seems to vary a huge amount depending on where, when and what is going on.

    WTF? buy a table? :icon_confused:
I'm used to come to a club and if there's a table I sit and order drinks.

Maybe at bars or low key clubs, but not at nice places with bottle service. Nicer clubs that have bottle service, you can't just sit down at random table. They usually have reserved signs on the tables because they are reserved for people ordering the bottles.

The really fancy clubs, if you are with a group of dudes, you can't even get in without getting bottle service. I call it door hassle. Very common in NYC and Vegas.

So I have to pay the ticket/bracelet (USD50-60) AND buy a bottle just to sit in a table?
What's the average cost of a bottle?
Maybe if you are with a bunch of friends its reasonable, but if you go with your GF how in the hell can you get a table?

It all really depends on where you go, who you talk to, what night it is, etc etc...One night a place might just let you sit down for free. Another night they could want hundreds of dollars. It all depends.

If you go to Dady Rock (I think it has a different name now?) That is more of a loungy place with tables that you can just sit at and order drinks. What we are mostly talking about are the big clubs (Dady O, The City, Bulldogs, Basic etc...)

Honestly, based on my experiences, I wouldn't go to those places without tables/bottles. If you go to Like Dady Rock, Senor Frogs, etc...you will be fine, you don't need tables.

I really like Senor Frogs a lot, it is my favorite place.

No, if you get a bottle, you won't need to pay cover. You by pass the line too. They treat you like VIPs basically. Average cost of bottle will depend on club and the city. Cancun is a little weird, I have yet to figure out how much bottles cost (ie it's various a lot and seems to be very negotiable like everything else in Mexico). In a nice Chicago club, a bottle of 1L goose will go about $200-350 (after tax and tip). In a nice NYC or Vegas club, a bottle of 1L goose will go about $450-700 (after tax and tip).

People usually pay that ridiculous amount for bottle service to attract the girls in the club. If you have a gf or married, there is little point in getting bottle service. :)
