We have talked about trying Cabo, but we always go in Feb. and the weather is still pretty cold at that time on the Pacific side, and the flight to get there is quite a bit longer, so with our short trip time, we usually just stick with Cancun- a bit over 3 hours direct, hard to beat. Maybe when the kids are gone we'll try it one summer ;-)
We did the end of January first part of February last year, weather was great! Cabo has the LARGE rooftop hottub that is AWESOME. It's a great way to meet people. We enjoyed Cabo but really missed all the fun and hype you get from Cancun. Can't wait for our next trip (hopefully MAY).
I did cabo a couple years ago for Feb break (not Temptation, but Riu) - Weather was perfect during the day, a little chill in the air at night. I haven't been to Cancun before to compare.
When you are ready to try it out in the summer...don't hesitate to contact us........ and it's true for us too the flight is not direct but it seems so fun. I did know that the weather was not great in february ..hummm
