You should try this diet, it sounds impossible but its not that bad and you get great results. Ideal Protein
Fletch, you're spot on. Many fruits are high GI & you should ideally have these (high GI foods) in moderation. Most vegetables (particularly greens) are low GI foods. For more info visit - Glycemic index for list of fruits vegetables High GI foods release glucose rapidly into the blood stream & this triggers an insulin response from your body. Insulin will effectively stop fat from being an energy source. If you eat a lot of high GI foods your body is more than likely getting more carbs than it needs & therefore you are unlikely to burn much (or any) fat. Just beware of fad diets. There is NO substitute for a good diet & exercise regime.
This is my personal belief and it is not based on any research, just personal observation: 1) Don't eat out. Unless, it's sushi or an all natural yogurt place. At the majority of places they use unhealthy/fattening ingridients. Plus you wind up eating more then you need 2) Eat more earlier and less later. My mom used to say "Save breakfast for yourself, Share lunch with a friend, and give dinner to your enemy" 3) Eat a BALANCE of all natural food, such as: Nuts, Vegetables, Fruit, Whole Grains, Chicken 4) Do cardio, with increasing intensity. It can be a challenge in the winter. however, try to set goals for yourself: Running 2 miles today, 3 miles in a week, 4 miles in a month, etc 5) Do circuit workouts at the gym. A circuit workout is where you hit multiple machines in a row, without rest 6) Try other forms of exercise such as climbing a rock wall
Workouts have been good, im cutting weight but not much. Not really sure if its because im still gaining muscle or what. No carbs with dinner, only post work out. Have to do something about the facial bloat, but i didnt plan on coming to cancun, so i was still bulking for summers at the vegas pools. My cutting usually takes 3 months, so this is a rushed schedule. Still cant lose this friggin lower abdomen fat. typical day 6am cardio 7am 6 egg whites and 1/2 cup of rolled oats 10am protein shake 45g whey grapefruit 12:00 chicken breast spinach banana 2:00 43g protein shake 2 unsalted rice cakes with natural pb 5:00 1 can tuna 1 coffee 3 creme 1 splenda 7:00 workout 8-9 chicken breast, fish steak, ground turkey meat (one of the 3) baby broccoli, spinach, iceberg lettuce, squash, or any other nasty tasting veggie 1 yam
Moderation is key. If you want to lose some fat weight, it will take some effort on your part. Hit the gym atleast 4 days a week and eat the right foods. You can have your favorite drink or meal, but in Moderation, not everyday!
