I am doing a hypoglycemic diet that balances my blood sugar and I am putting as much muscle on as I can to help me burn up all my fat. The hypoglycemic diet is basically canada's food guide and really works. I used it before when I orignally lost 80 lbs years ago. Now I am just trying to get rid of the last 10 cancun trips. I've been hearing great things and results from the 17 day diet, my stepfather has lost 22lbs my mom has lost 4 and not sure where my sister is at last i heard 6.5lbs. so I'm ordering the book. my progess down a jean size,,
hmm i will have to take a better look tomorrow.. but from what i have seen its pretty much the complete opposite of what i am doing .. my plan is to go back on jenny.. was planing to do it on Saturday.. that always work for me . i am doing low carps, high fiber.. more protein .. no white flour (bread) potatoes or white rice.. or white pasta. no sweets .. certain fruits..lots of salads working out 6 times a week mostly.It sucks when i step on the scale..
yes you did Dan..lol did you take a look at the food.. is this glycemic index the same as this hypoglycemic diet?..
For the very last time, to be a life lasting keepable change it is NOT the diet. Correct sensible eating yes it is ALL about the exercise.,
I agree its all about excercise..for me though.. my goal is April.. so for me to just exercise it is defiantly the long way around.. and I have seen the benefits of eating healthy and exercise..and now know I can maintain any weight I choose with the lifestyle.. the problem is.. I want to be 2 sizes smaller in 2 months.. so I am going to have to reduce my calories in (Diet) but there are different ways to do that..some people can restirct their carbs and loose .. some can restrict the fat and loose some can eat balanced and loose...some can restrict sugar and loose, none of the above is working for me ..
My understanding regarding the 17 day diet, is that it is a life style change. It isn't just 17 days, its a process, cleansing and eating the right way the right foods. My mother who like me just doesn't know when to quit eating. What she is finding is the foods, which you prepare yourself, are easy, healthy and very very filling.. Its not the kind of diet that you are starving your self and is a quick fix.
YOu can exercise all you want, but if you don't feed yourself the right foods consistently, you will not change your body. I've been lifting and exercising for a lot of years, and its all about the diet if you want to be lean and cut.
dont want to be lean and cut.. I want to be toned and firm..so.. what should I be doing.. what or how should I be eating to LOOSE weight..I am eating health pretty balanced but lower calories and work out .. while I see firming and toning .. the scale is not moving .. I am doing a great job at maintaning my current weight.. its not my ideal weight.. its not like I want to weight 100 lbs.. lol just 10 to 15 less than I am now.. thats where i am comfortable and my clothes all fit and I think that the scale is important.. lol..hahaha!!
