I was in Phase 2 of the Oasis last Spring and it was much nicer than Phase 1.

I would expect partying to be on average to last year because they will be diluting that craziness into two different resorts that arent very close to each other.

I am working at the Caribe today. I will talk to the Entertainment Manager and see what he can tell me. I will report back later. I know the Gran Caribe has more then 500 rooms, which for Cancun is on the very large side, and its beautiful. The adult only one next door, which from the beach looks massive only has 280 rooms...all beachfront though. It is a family resort and there are ALWAYS children around. Sucks to be a family already booked from the end of Feb to mid april.

They are working on that tbh.

I would play it by ear this year and split time b/w oasis and gran caribe.

Spoke with Management today. Gran Caribe Real has always been a Student City hotel for Spring Break. This is not a new deal going through, and the GC does not tolorate any craziness either. It is an upscale family hotel and they will make sure to maintain that reputation. The contests and activities will not be involve any R rated antics. Soooo, make sure you stick to the Oasis if that is what you are looking for. Day passes for the GC usually run upwards of $70 or more.
If I hear anything else, I will let you know.
