Btw....you are such cutie...and sound like lots of fun.

 

We have been to the GP 4-5 times. The topless is "hit and miss." However, TTR is guaranteed and if you want to relax, the quiet pool is there. We have never spent much time at that pool.

The advantages of the GP, in my opinion, better food and service, no reservations for restaurants and an oceanview room is a true oceanview room.

TTR has a much better atmosphere and lots of fun events to participate or watch. The GP's entertainment staff, again in my opinion, is weak.

We usually alternate between the two resorts.

If you are choosing the TTR, make sure your wife is comfortable with the atmoshere around the pool activities.

The bartenders at the tiki bar at the GP are fantastic, slightly better than those at TTR.

Either way, no children and lots of fun to be had. Oh, the GP has a true group hotub.

We are excited for March 1st.

Yes!! I completely agree! Golden Parnassus is COMPLETELY hit or miss with Topless Women. I mean granted, you will always see at least 4 women topless if you really look around.... BUT all it really takes is ONE woman to do it in a easily seen area. Once one does it, give it a little while and a lot more do it. Last year... I was the only one(it usually takes me a day to take my top off, but not this past year). By the end of the day I counted at least 12 women who also were topless poolside. It's easiest to count from the Paradise Buffet although some do hangout under the canopy of Pier 12 Seafood restaurant. Everyone wears a top when they play tequila volleyball. Some days, I like to be fun and not wear one. The guys always say oh they have an unfair advantage. It was so funny! Last year this one guy commented back "Shut the fuck up man" lol. I guess he really didnt want me to put my top back on! lol.

Ahhhh the jacuzzi! During the day it seems pretty lame... but underwater you never know what goes on, unless you are "casually swimming with goggles" lol. I do bring goggles personally, because BrentC and I are swimmers and do laps in the morning, but I've never brought them to the jacuzzi! It was pretty funny.... the first 2 years I went to GP, I never even KNEW there was a jacuzzi! lol... such a blonde! At night time, when the Tiki bar comes alive.... you will catch all kinds of crazy action in the jacuzzi .... just saying

Thank you vacationcpl2 and Hammie....definitely leaning towards GP...what about topless on the beach or walking down the beach?...and how far is GP from where Coco Bongo and the club area is it?...Can you give me an idea of what type of fun goes on in the hot tub at night at GP?...Love your pictures Hammie...keep them coming...we are looking at coming May 21-27

 

The crowd at the GP varies so much each week. One time we met about 20 people on trip advisor, before I knew about this site and before Steve was kind enough to give this resort it's own link. The hottub was fun, I am sure some were swingers, we just sway. That year maybe 30% were topless. It usually just takes a few and the rest follow. Another year our group of two couples were the only ones and the married male perverts fixed that by taking unwanted pictures. There disk was fixed as I confronted them. It was funny. just as I was talking to them their wives showed up. They did not have a camera in their hands the rest of he week. And the ladies apologized.

The beach always has a few topless and you can walk as far as you want, in either direction. I am not sure about the beach resoration as we were not at the GP last year. Walking south has always been fun and entertaining.

The clubs are not within walking disttacne and we always take the bus down or go with the reosrt. If you are going to Coco Bongos (sp?) go with the resort.

 

It's been nearly three-and-a-half years since our last Mexican vacation, but last night we started seriously talking about a return to the Cancun vicinity later this year. We're not sure, though, if we want to go back to a "known quantity" (we've enjoyed places like the Golden Parnassus, the Riu Palace in PDC and the Barcelo Maya a little south of that) or if we want to add a "new favorite" to the list. (Any suggestions???) All we know is that Mexico still appears to be a great value and we'd prefer an adults-only all-inclusive property. We're also not sure exactly when we'll try to go; a lot depends on what "deals" come our way and how we can work it in around a cruise in June (which is also stopping at Cozumel) and a possible trip to London in the fall to see our daughter (assuming she does the "study abroad" program at her university next semester).

 

We TOTALLY agree...if you go with the resort group, you tend to get better service and even a special designated area for your group; if you go on your own it's catch as catch can.

 

Now that sounds like my kind of place! Hot tub here I come! LOL
