As confirmed: There is gonna be two stages: Gran Caribe and the BeLive. The BeLive is gonna take a backseat to the Gran Caribe this year and student city hasnt been able to sell this property for almost 50-60 days which means its gonna more than likely be a ghost town. The Gran Caribe is a much nicer property and will be the true HQ. Ill answer any further studentcity questions on here if possible.
I would imagine the price would deter some, last I checked Gran Caribe Real isn't necessarily cheap when compared to say, Omni, right beside Oasis.
The price definitely shot up after they announced the "co-hq" The place is much nicer with a great spa and other amenities. Im booked at the BeLive but i might be making the switch to the Gran Caribe when it gets closer.
It also seems difficult to all of a sudden claim another resort as your HQ. It may be a process they're beginning this year on simply moving it, but Oasis has a reputation and it'll be hard to start fresh somewhere else. I intend to spend all my time on the beaches at Oasis, since we're staying closer to it than we are, Gran Caribe. But it's worth checking out though, unless they're anal about wristbands. By the way, what days are you going?
Will there be day passes for gran caribe? A reliable aource told me be live will still be the main one?
Hi Nuno, Thx for those precious infos but how they gonna do to put all the people in the grand Caribe ? i heard its a lot smaller than the Be Live..... Besides, Does it mean there wont be any studentcity parties during the day at the Be live ?
Ill be there 11th-18th at the BeLive(Tentative) There will be day passes to both the BeLive and Gran Caribe but as mentioned before they havent been able to sell the Be Live and the are expecting lower than normal capacity but will still have a stage on the beach and etc treating it as a co-hq but with more of a focus on the Gran Caribe As on today they are planning studentcity parties during the day at both resorts. The Gran Caribe is pretty small compared to the Be Live but they chose it and are offering people ridiculous deals to get them in that hotel like 300 bucks toward spa treatments and etc so they are certainly trying to make everyone happy.
As i'm staying at Barcelo Tucancun i will be in the middle of both hotels! Where ever the part is at is where i will be!
