    Hi all

Planning a spring break trip to Cancun for four guys and we were looking at staying at The Royal, Cancun (inbetween Gran Caribe and Flamingo). The hotel looked pretty awesome and we figured its not too far from there to the clubs.

What about the beaches though? Is all the beach action centred at Be Live and the rest of the beach pretty quiet? If so, can we get onto the beach at Be Live or is it private?

I also read on another forum that Gran Caribe might be pretty lively this year - and then saw on StudentCity that it (and Be Live) are their two co-headquarters hotels. Anyone expecting Gran Caribe to be pretty busy (and again, can we just head over to their beach then)?

All advice and comments much appreciated!

I stayed at the gran caribe real last year. there was a decent amount of breakers there but there were also lotsa of familys there aswell. If student city is providing it then that is a good sign. they didnt when i went. Its about a 10min walk from the clubs, not bad at all. all tho the bus is dirt cheap and super easy to use if you dont wanna walk. taxis are like 5 bucks if u bargan with them. senor frogs and basic is super close as well as margarita ville. also there is a grocery store almost across the street from the royal if i remember right.
Also i remember people from the royal coming over and saying if you stayed there they had access to both hotel grounds including drinks and food. Im not 100% sure on that but i think thats how it is. The be live you can buy day passes to which cover food and drink for the day at their hotel and thats usualy around 25-30 bucks i think.
Also the beaches were AMAZING at the gran caribe and im sure the royal is the same way. over 100 yards to the water of white sand then crystal clear blue ocean.
Best time of my life there I wish i was going this year but i blew my savings.
Ill be back for 2012 tho and partyn HARD.

    intercontinental presidente

has a nice beach area and is a quick bus ride or cab ride to the clubs. you can even walk to the clubs but definitely should take a cab home after a night of heavy drinking.

This year is as active as you are gonna see Gran Caribe. Studentcity is making it the co-hq so if this is where you wanna stay enjoy the extra amount of breakers
