Hi Jo, congrats on the upcoming wedding and the trip to TTR.. and welcome.. your post made me laugh.. cause I could see me doing that..Hyperventilating and lying on the floor.. thanks for that.. the weight thing is strange.. I have always been scale motivated so usually after being really strick on the many diets I have tried, I get pissed off because the scale didnt move after a week...this time, I have not lost that much but am back into my smaller jeans.. not perfectly mind you .. but still in them.. lol it must be the exercise taking inches off.. so while I hate to admit it ... I am gonna have to keep it up.. I hope one day .. I can say.. "oh I cant wait to go home and exercise".. cant see it at this point though.. lol.. cheers!
Scales are deceiving, don't let the scales rule. As long as your body is looking trimmer and your clothes fitting better, that's all that matters. Muscle weighs more than fat! Congratulations...keep on doing what you're doing!:aktion069:
You should NEVER step on the scale. First muscle is 7 times more dense than fat so as you workout and lose fat you add muscle. At first the scale may show success but then it start to go the other way. You should use some clothes that are too tight now and set progress as you can get into them. Now that digital cameras rule get a cheap card, shoot some unflattering pics now, hide the card and review repeats as you progress.
I can't say I agree about never stepping on the scale. Women (especially those of us over 5-0, not that I know of any:huh really don't add lean muscle all that quickly. It's usually water retention or loss. But I do agree about the pictures!
I would think that is true Tere.. nothing is the same (so I have heard) after you turn 50...as far as your body, skin, hair, eyes ... goes.. lol I will still use the scale.. but wont beat myself up if there is no big loss..
...just another "F" word.... like "fabulous", "fantastic", "friendly", "fetching", "fun", "fine"........
