Hey everyone, I know this question isn't so much specifically for TTR so I hope this doesn't go against any rules on the forum. This is our first time travelling so I'm a bit worried about 1 thing. The Xray scanners at the airport. My carry-on is going to be my camera equipment and other electronic stuff, has anyone had any of their stuff fried from the Xray scanner? I've heard mixed things on the internet (as usual). I'll be bringing:

Nikon D90 DSLR with SD memory cards
    Ipod Touch

Those are the 2 big "worried about frying" items. Any had their SD memory cards come BACK through the xray erased? I'd hate to lose a whole trip worth of pictures to the machine. Thanks! :daveandmo:

You shouldn't have any problems. I fly a lot and frequently carry cameras, laptop, cell phone, etc.

In the "old days" people worried about film exposure to X-Rays...

never had a problem but on the way home they took all my spare batteries,
put them in your check in luggage.

Wanted to argue with them but I guess they wanted them more them me and I didn't want to see a Mexican jail.

Thanks for the great info, it's what I was hoping to hear. Only thing I guess I have to figure out is if I should remove the LIon battery from my D90 and pack it in my checked luggage. I know when I get shipped out for work I have a portable radio in my gear and the airlines make you seperate the LIon batter from it as it could "explode" or be used as an explosive. I wonder if the small LIon in a D90 is the same. I'll figure that out though as the airport, all other batteries will go in the checked lugged in a zip-lok to avoid any confusion.
