We got screwed over by Expedia last year to the tune of $600. When we got to the airport we were told that our flight had left 6 hours prior and my only options were to fly stand by the next day for $120 a person and hope they have a seat or buy a full fare ticket on another airline. Apparently there were 8 of us who booked with Expedia that were never notified about the flight change. We opted for the full fare ticket and figured we would deal with Expedia when we got home since the flight was changed to be 6 hours earlier and they never contacted us. I had even checked on their website the day before we left and when we got home and the new flight time was never listed on their site. I called Expedia first thing after I landed and they tried to offer to put be on stand by for $120 a person even though I had told them we were already home. To make a really long 4 month story short we wasted A LOT of time trying to get Expedia to refund at least part of the flight cost and the most they ever offered us was a $50 coupon for the next time we use them. I will never ever use Expedia again and will warn anyone and everyone I can. They are nothing more than another large corporation that does not care about their customers.
Thanks for the tips guys. I'll try Expedia, however they just announced they're not working with American Airlines anymore who we used last year. We'll try Alpharooms too. Doesn't matter too much as long as we get there and get to hang with all the great people from last year as well as people we didn't get a chance to spend enough time with.
