World Juniors in Alberta 2012 I just put in for tickets for the games in Calgary. There will be 21 games and that's going to be expensive. I'll be looking for people to share tickets if I get them...lol.
They had a report in the Buffalo papers that EVERY game in Calgary will be sold out. That is one hell of a major league accomplishment. Most of the games here are sold out or close to it, but a lot of the games are being held at Niagara University where the seating is only about 3000 or so. HSBC arena is just under 19,000 seats.
Damn Brewster. I should have gotten you down here to see some good young hockey players and have some wings and some of our local pizza. Maybe even get you to try a beef on weck.
Wish I'd thought of that too! I'll definitely let you know next time I'm in the area. Lots of friends and family in the Niagara/St. Catharines region. And there is nothin' like Buffalo wings
Swedes beat Canada and the US just barely got past Switzerland. Who would have thought this would be the way this tourney would turn out? Now we'll see who makes the quarters and semis.
For me, I really won't mind if Canada wins the tourney as they are the better team. It's just great hockey and I wish I would have signed up for NHL Center Ice so I could see the games on TV. Besides, the Sabres have two draft picks that play for Canada so I'm happy to see them do well.
Living in Alberta it's just nice to see some good hockey played.... (Ah....The Flames...The Oilers....how far they have fallen...)
