I was there in early May and had a great time. I've read other many trip reports and they reinforce my idea that any time is a good time to go. But when is the ideal time? I am wondering when i should schedule my 2011 trip. Is there a certain week with the most cancuncare members in attendance? Or some special event like Miss Temptation that just can't be missed? thx
I couldn't have been happier with my June trip...I'm looking forward to my upcoming January trip...Trip reports from the last couple months were good...There's a good April group going...yup - never the wrong time to go. There are always variables that are give and take - Figure out which factors are most important to you and try to align dates that fit with them.
Everyone has a different favourite time to go. We love 1st 2 weeks of May as that's when the group that has now turned into family always go. Roll on 1st May 2011. Lynfa x
Anyone been there the first two weeks in March? We're first timers - booked for March 2nd - 11th. Any input on what we might expect - activities, people, crowd, pool temp, etc. - would be appreciated. Thanks.
Ive been in the beginning of march a few times, wether is good, that is the time when the pool temps start becoming perfect, Temptations will have their usual activities, the hotel will usually be at 75 % to close to full, the city will be packed with spring breakers...so the clubs will have a much different look that time of year. Lots of college kids and special guests at the clubs and around the city. Other then that, a great time to go, I like mid april to early may.
As you can see the 'ideal' time varies. I know there are several popular group times that are discussed here on the board - end of Feb., April, the May group, Labor day, Halloween, & NYE amoung them. We prefer the end of Feb because it breaks up our winter nicely & it is just before we start our high school baseball season. After going @ this time for the last seven years we have bonded with a great group ( esp Troy & Joyce :liebe011: ) that also vacations @ this time. So you can see, any time is an ideal time
We are going the 1st week in April again this year. And we are hoping there are many returners from last April. Its nice and warm then and back home (MN) its still freezing! And I like it because its over my birthday. What a better way to spend your bday!!
I really like April or May. We are headed there this April 3-12th. Last year we were there in the second week of May and in September as well. We have gone in December and find the pool too chilly and the nights cool.
