Obviously I will be getting all my own drinks! These are the first negative things I've been hearing thus far...such a drag!
We are from a small town in the middle of nowhere and we didnt even know what a benzo was. We googled it and that kind of stuff scares us. At least we know to get our own drinks and make sure when we get there to find some familiar Cancuncare faces and stick with the crowd. Safety in numbers i suppose.

Tere, we wondered where you were. I put 2 and 2 together for a living so here goes: 1 Drug store across the street that has everything you can think of 2 We always got our own drinks from waiters or bartenders, never paid much attention to the process 3 Tons of aggrressive to woman guys from a certain country who were not so aggressive when confronted 4 Two different couples where the husband passes out first, wife is left behind. We witnessed one of the two. 5 Drug test confirming benzos I really don't want to get into the single debate. We want to go where there are singles not just couples. I am reluctantly putting our experience out there because we are members and will go back. Just a heads up..
Susie, I agree. Strange people are everywhere, so it is best to be careful. And get your own drinks...get up to dance and leave your drink, just get a new one! I really thought it was the combination of the day in the sun and 2 nights of not as much sleep as I was used to and a couple drinks. But I am very used to the sun. I thought I'd nap for an hour. But 7 hours of napping? So strange. I was so hungry since I'd missed dinner and schoolgirl night! I've travelled alone for 15 years, never a problem! Sorry to hear of these problems, I've heard of drink spiking before in Cancun (in fact have been a victim of it myself at Coco Bongo) but have never heard of it happening at the hotel. Were the guys causing problems Brits? Twentysomethings traveling in a pack of 5 or more?
yeah steve remember that night well - it took eveyr bit of mine and t's efforts to keep you upright long enough to get from the exit to the the cab - i think you had only had two or three drinks - was bizarre btw the nest year somebody slipped me a viagra mickey (at the resort) and my oscar stayed hard (even after sex ten times) for almost 6 hours - i think it was probably hillbilly playing a joke on me or something............... but after reading this im not so sure of that rob
Again, Tere, thanks for the heads up. Really good advice. Sometimes travelling solo can be a bity scary but having this information certainly makes me more aware. I travel alone quite a bit and never had a problem now I find myself a little nervous...I shall defintely keep a keen eye Happy Holidays babe!
I think westtexas is right about the benzos..googled it. It sounds about right, for me. I was soooo relaxed, all I wanted to do was sleep, then eat. I felt drugged, as opposed to drunk! As for the single guys in large groups, I met them all, I think. None from the UK. I did meet the group I think WT was referring to...they were from California. But were not American-born..they did tell me where they were from. One grabbed me and planted a big kiss on my lips as I walked past. But typically, I'm old enough to be the Mother (or Grandmother)of these boys, so I am no longer that attractive to them! The guy that gave me the drink was American, for sure. He appeared stoned for the duration of the trip, in my opinion! A dumb move on my part, to accept the drink. I should have put it down. For the record, I've been to TR 8 times now, alone. I've never noticed large groups of guys that were disrepectful. "No thanks" has always worked. One thing I've noticed is that most are so drunk at TR that the guys seem almost neutered!
Glad no one had anything worse than a prematurely shortened night out of that. And it's a good reminder to all that you shouldn't accept drinks from strangers if you haven't seen them mixed. And if possible have or make friends with someone who can keep their eyes out for you. So ladies, if you are thinking of drugging me to make me your sex toy... Save the drugs let's face it I'd be willing lol
