I was doing some reading on some sites about the resort and a lot of people say that when u get there you are asked to go on a breakfast tour the next day. when u go to it its no tour at all but someone trying to sell u time shares. now if possible could someone explain whats going on here what is the time share for how much is it is it worth it. As well if u refuse does this in chance impact your stay at the resort meaning will we receive less service from the staff because we would be known as the people who refused the time share.
Believe me, they'll spot you! Don't worry about it -just stand your ground! We went thru it and I finally had to tell the guy (There will be booze offered to you), that if he came back to the table one more time I was gonna kick his ass. He walked away and we were never bothered again. Our 4th time is coming up in April (Must say when all the April Addicts go), and they haven't even approached us the last 2 trips. Hope this helps!! You'll end up being repeaters like all of us before you know it!! They'll be at the airport too, so just brush them off!!
When I check in, they ask if it is my first visit and I always say no...even on the first visit(a little fib). Then they usually tell you to go to see about a tour and information about the resort, I say "later". Never went back later and have never been hassled past check-in. Not a word.
alot on this board about the time share and problems with the time share package that keeps changing and changing but not to your advanage. just say no to the "tour of the resort" and or time share. we wasted 1/2 day and will not do it again. trip 12 should be mid may.
We sat through the initial conversation right after checking in, but skipped out of the actual presentation the next morning. It didn't affect the service a single bit. If you're a first time going through Mexican airports, make sure you don't get caught by the timeshare guys there too! Sneaky bastards!

Don't talk to ANYONE from the time you get past customs until you get outside the airport. There will be lots of people dressed in blue shirts ACTING like information people or guides or even your travel company. THEY ARE NOT!! They are just simple hucksters. When you get on the resort, just ignore the "tour" and ignore the messages they will inevitably leave on your room phone and you'll be fine. It will neither affect your stay or the service you will receive.
Avoid Avoid AVOID!!! We did it and bought...D'OH! We are fairly lucky and are not loosing $$ but we are also not getting any great deal from it either. The time share folks at the airport and at Tempation are SHARKS. Just IGNORE them outright at the airport and say thanks but NO THANKS at the hotel. During the check-in process you WILL be directed to the "tour" desk if not hijacked to it. If you can, get on one of Steve's Boobs cruises if there is one during your stay. Sergio's Friday night cruise to Carlos and Charlie's is also a good one. Enjoy your vaca and I am sure you will become repeaters Scott
