just curious what type of drinks are available, we are going to be there in Jan for our first time, hubby is kind of a picky drinker, likes Mike's hard lemonade, is this available?
NOT Mikes Hard Lemonade...LoL. Seriously, the bartenders are great, they'll make almost any drink you can concoct, youre in the Caribbean, have him drink all the frozen fruity drinks he can. I now have a new love for all of this since our first trip to TTR...
Fruit it up, man! Mixed drinks are an option, but usually not top shelf available. You can ask for bartenders to poor as top shelf as they have with no problem. The bartenders are awesome.
No problem with fruity drinks for men. Jeff enjoys a couple colorful fruity drinks a day then switches to beer. It's not embarassing for men to have a Pina Colada or Frozen Margarita. Diesel's right, you're in Cancun, those drinks taste good. Now if you're pre-partying for an AC/DC concert, shot and a beer might be in order.
Acquire a taste for tequila and all will be well..or forgotten, haha. There frozen pina colanda's are pretty good but you must ask them to add bacardi. The bartenders are excellent and I consider myself knowledgeable in this area as I work at the number 8th busiest bar/restaurant in the US, SEACRETS in OC Maryland. They could use pourers so they could pour the same for each drink but im not complaining.........its MEXICO and we are on VACATION. Ask for a citrus vodka with sprite/club and splash of sour and add lemon and lime. Its probably the closest you can get to a Mike Hard Lemonade.
The flavored vodka is not bad, but not a name brand. Be sure to ask for Stoli if you are drinking any regular vodka.
That is helpful! I will have him try that one, he's just not much of a beer drinker! He does like the amareto sours, i figure they will have that!
I've never heard of Stoli... but will keep it in mind, I love vodka but have found out lately I'm allergic to some vodka's, like smirnoff & Alberta pure I've been drinking if for years but now find if I drink it I get blisters on my foot and palms.. weird eh. the only thing I've found here in Canada is Grey goose or Absolut vodka
