Just saw this article about Playboy opening a club in Cancun across from the church in the hotel zone: Alista Playboy apertura - Cancún … Basically it says Playboy will open this Saturday without Hugh Hefner but with Carmen Electra and Mario Lopez as special guests as well as Normand Latourelle, co-founder of Cirque du Soleil, and a DJ Playboy Collen Shannon.
Oh my gosh, I have the hugest crush on Mario Lopez!!! It's about time... that place has looked ready to open for the last 2 - 3 months. "Across from the church" hahaha that could be interesting.
So what is a "Playboy Club"? Presumably this is at the old Caliente building? Another one of those tacky fake casinos but with bunny girls?
Steve - It's yet another tacky casino, and yes, at the old Caliente building. Not sure about the bunnies, but it seems to me like a Playboy casino with no bunnies is just a regular casino.
Seems we need a volunteer to go see! In the beginning, it was going to be a full casino but you know how that goes. Can they? Can't they? Seems a potentially popular haunt judging by the replies on Trip Advisor, I guess we'll know soon enough. I dont think I'll be volunteering one of my rare nights out there though
