Fun people wink wink We are going to be at Temptations from Feb. 26 to March 11. Looking for fun people to meet up with. Will try and get a pic on here.
hey everyone hey there will be at this resort with my wife feb 8 to the 27th. would like to have some questions answered from people who have been there b 4 . one is the beach at the resort is it true that its not a beach for nice swims and scuba diving due to the seaweed and non clarity of the water , as well do the rooms have a sewer smell to them and rust coloured water comeing out from the showers? and all these negative comments i got from trip advisor and we both are open minded individuals and take these neg remarks with a grain of salt. some more questions now lol. is it easy to go site seeing there like going to see the mayan ruins etc. as well i hear u have to wake up early like 6ish to reserve a chair near the pool and all u have to do is place your towel on it. now not a big deal but some people supposedly dont show up to the chair tell late in the afternoon now is it a big deal if u just use it and if the person or persons show up just give it back. anyways thanx if someone answers all these questions and if u have more advice on the resort good or bad id love to hear them
Hi There tjandbe... To answer your questions....yes it is true that the water in front of the resort is not suitable for snorkelling....I don't scuba dive so couldn't honestly answer you on that. To get good snorkelling ( and I assume scuba diving) head over to Isla Mujeres either on your own by ferry or go with a tour. The tours head out right near the resort to the left on the beach. The water is otherwise fine if you just want to go for a dip .Tours for the mayan ruins, etc can be booked directly at the hotel, and I do recall a place across the street where you can book tours usually for less $$. As for the water being rust colored/smelling of sewer out of the tap....in our experience, not true. We had no problems at all with the plumbing. It is VERY humid, so there may be a dampish odour, but we did not find any really unpleasant odors...and I do have a sensitive nose! As for the poolside chairs...yes it is true that alot of people get up early to snag themselves a chair, either by leaving a towel or tshirt or bag or?? We never got up early enough to do so ourselves...we are night owls, so way to early for us. We took our chances, and usually found a chair , but not always directly poolside. As for 'borrowing' a chair... I guess it all depends whose chair you 'borrowed'. We never saw any fights over chairs, and hopefully as adults we never would see that kind of behaviour. I would think, if you saw it left empty for some time, as long as you didn't throw the other person's stuff to some corner, hopefully if they showed up, there would be no issue. If we weren't able to get a chair, not a big deal...find a spot for your stuff, grab a drink and hit the pool! Lots of fun and games going on through the day to keep ya busy there. We really did not spend alot of time in the lounge chairs ourselves, so only one person's two cents worth here. We have been once, about a year and a half ago. We were quite happy with everything. The club at the resort did not have anything going on there, so if you like to dance, plan to hit the clubs. The resort organizes certain clubs on certain nights, for a fee, includes transport there, getting you in and drinks. Getting back is your responsibility, but buses run frequently. We plan to do a bar crawl our first night in...also a great way to meet others at the resort. We are there January 31 to Feb10. We might see you around the pool deck. If you post a pic, we know who to look for. I hope I answered everything you wanted to know. Leanne
