Just started looking for travel dates. Halifax gets screwed. All the trips to Temptations get that after 7:00pm, that means get to the resort around 10:00pm. Some may find that great, but I like to get there around 2:00 pm and get settled in with some sunlight left. Also the 7:00pm arrival is on Thursday which means we will miss lingerie night and we leave Thursday 8:25pm so we miss it there too. Damn you Halifax what happened to the nice 7:30 departures. Anyone seen any other vacation packages to Temptation from halifax other then Nolitours?
Is there a way to leave a day earlier fly to a connecting flight somewhere else, im not familiar with Halifax, but seems you should be able to fly out of there to a Bigger airport Hub or something that offers multiple departure times. May cost a few bucks more, but if the arrival time means that much, then it may be worth it to ya
Ya Toronto would be the place that seems to have the moring flights. Only trouble is they fly out at like 6:20am. So my cost would go up by about $400 for the flight and a hotel over night, $100 so it would be about $900 more for me and my wife. Just don't understand why flights would go south in the PM. Don't most people want to leave in te am?
I have to drive 15 hours to Montreal, but I leave on Sunwing at 6:20am so it is worth it... lo montl my trip will end up costing $4000 so consider yourself lucky that you can fly out of somewhere close. If I had to fly to montreal it would cost and extra $800 per person. If I were you I would spend the extra money and spend a couple nights in Montreal.
Ya guess I can't complain about that. Just makes no sence to fly out in PM. I know it has something to do with the airport but stupid.
Last year I did a package with Sunquest Vacations and was supposed to arrive in cancun around noon and leave at 7pm. Two weeks before my trip they told me my flights had changed and I don't arrive in Cancun until 11pm and my return flight is at 6am. I payed for this package 3 months earlier and was not happy. This year I booked my flight and accommodations separately so that this doesn't happen to me again. I was also told this kind of thing happens all the time with Sunquest Vacations because it's their planes and they don't want to advertise terrible flight times.
Yeah airlines and airports always have some quirk, either good or bad to make sure they fill planes at least amount of cost to them, I am lucky enough to live near NYC, So I have more airports then Starbucks around me, but I have lots of friends throughout Canada and the US that either leave a day or so early and have to drive to a bigger airport or Fly a connector flight, to make sure you get your moneys worth. I always try to fly in as early as possible and leave as late as possible , so the extra time at the hotel pays for any extra costs.. first couple trips, Id arrive late and leave early, then I realized Im loosing almost 2 days, cuz your tired when you get there and you cant party too much if you have to leave the hotel at 6am. ..So I learned my lesson.
we leave out of ottawa on a westjet (sweet) flight at 6:30am on the 13th... same time as last year too. So if you can get here it's worth it. can't you fly porter from halifax to ottawa for dirt cheap?
