I am trying to find "the catch" in these deals. Temptation Cancun Package, All Inclusive Adults Resort on eBay.ca (item 370452192481 end time 01-Dec-10 11:35:12 EST) Seems way to good to be true. Anyone ever used them or know anything about them?
I think the catch is in the print at the bottom not everyone can qualify and you must attend the sales presentation. " Married or co-habiting couples: 1 person in the couple must be between 32-55 years of age with a combined annual gross income of $55,000. Singles are welcome, must travel alone and pay base on a double occupancy. For co-habiting couples, customer must send copy of their Driver's License where states their matching address. Must possess a valid driver’s license/passport and a major credit card and take them to the presentation. This promotion is only for American, Canadian and Mexican citizens. Both spouses/partners must speak and understand fluent English or Spanish without the help of any interpreter. Both spouses/partners must attend the sales presentation together. Must attend an approximate 90-120 minute presentation. Cannot have toured the resort within the last twelve- (12) months. Proof income will be require at the check in (account statements, payroll receipts, etc) "
Comes out to $82 per night and you must go to the timeshare presentation which will take up half a day. They have a 90% positive feedback which is really low for e-bay. It means that 1 out of 10 people are not happy.....but the other 9 are. Don't see that anyone has provided feedback on the tempation package.
I am confused how you get your price, am I missing something? $279 / 4= $69.75 per room. It states for 2 adults, so thats $34.88 a person per day. I know the sales pitch is boring but for that price how can you turn it down?
It said you had to pay $50 in hotel taxes as well. They had other auctions and 1 of them was 3-nights for $145 (plus the $50 in taxes).
Still at that price pretty damn good deal. I have been to Temptations twice and have yet to go to the time share talk. Can't ya just sleep in?
I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize that great rate. They do ask for a credit card so if you sleep in, I'm thinking you would get a nice charge on it and they probably have something with your signature on it saying that you agreed to those terms. Your tour will be booked for you when your reservation is made. The tour is booked for the second day from your arrival. Please note, it is very important that you attend the tour, it's the reason you received such a great vacation package price and failure to attend the tour will result in full rack rate being charged for your accommodations.
Is that tax $50 per night or for the 4 nights? if its for the 4 nights its $279 + $50=$329 / 4=$82.25 per night double oucupancy. How much is it a night if you book thru Temptations?
it says: Hotel taxes are not included, only $50.00 total. But I would call both them and TTR to make sure it isn't per day. You can go to the TTR website and see the prices for different times of the year. I won an auction on SKYAUCTION.COM and I'm paying $55 per person per night for next week. They consider early December a low accupancy time so there are no per day surcharges for that time of year. If you win and pick spring time, they add $25 to $40 per day/per person. I thought I got a great deal - I agree, this sounds too good to be true.
Bullet, Are there great deasl on Skyauction? I mean right now a 7 night stay flight included is going for $30. Do the auctions go way up at last second.
