We were schedule to arrive at temptations at 3 today and we are stuck in ft Lauderdale Florida, until tomorrow morning!!!! Why? Because the Fu*king airline screwed everything g up!!!!! we left from NY and had a connecting flight to Cancun in ft Lauderdale and they left us!!!!!!!! There are no more flights going out to Cancun until tomorrow!!!!! I am beyong pissed!!!!!!! I have been looking forward to this trip and now I will have 1 less day to spend there!!!!!!!! They orginally told us not to board the plane in NY because it would arrive late and than changed there mind and said go, the plane would be waiting for us to Cancun!!!!! So mad right now, I want to cry!!!
I'm mad for you!! I'm so sorry. We never fly out of Florida to Cancun because there is always problems. We choose Atlanta or Houston. I hope your day tomorrow will be much better. Good luck!! Tonia
Sorry, it's a bad way to start a trip. I was stuck in Miami last trip for a night when the connecting flight to Cancun left 45 minutes early. There were about 20 people stuck in Miami. It sucks.
i know the feeling i got stuck in dallas for a night cuz the airline canceled my flight to cancun due to weather. never felt a drop of rain or saw any lightening or thunder the entire time i was in dallas. and since they claimed it was due to weather i had to pay for my own hotel that night. fortunately i for the first time bought travel insurance....so still waiting to see how much they are gonna refund me for my expenses for food and hotel plus missed night paid for at TTR. good luck hope u r already there as i write this,have a drink for me...had a shitty night at work....cc
2 weeks and 3 days to go and guess what we are flying. Spirit air out of Laguardia in New York to Fort Lauderdale at 6:45am. 45 minute layover in Fla and then head out to Cancun. I'm hoping 6:45 is prior to when the delays start to happen. Just remembered - I play soccer with a bunch of air traffic controllers so I'll have to remind them to push us up to the front of the line on the way out of new york.
I know how you feel, the same thing happened to us when we were going to Hedo for our first time, we had lay over in Miami, everyone boarded plane there, sat for 1 hr and they made us get off, told us they had another plane waiting,when we all got off they said all flights were canceled for the day, this was 130 in the afternoon. They did pay hotel and food expenses.BUT we could not get our luggege! We arrived in Jamaica the next am at 9 am, But didnt see our luggege for 2 more days!!! Lost a day @ Hedo and missed 2 theme nights we had outfits for!! Sucks big time to have layovers that cause delays!!! Fornately we can fly direct out of Dallas to Cancun, we just have to hope for our flight leaving on time....
Direct flights are the only way to go. I vowed to completely avoid flights with changes, but have a two non-Cancun trips coming up with changes and I am not looking forward to those. I hope you were able to make the best out of your evening in Florida, but not such a good time that you missed today's flight.
You are lucky to have non-stop flights available to you. I wish it was possible. Jet Blue flew non-stop for a couple months, then the piggy flu ended that.:huh: It was great-less than 2 hours and I was in Cancun, now it's connect in Miami.:cry:
